CONTINENTAL DIVIDE
On ECW tonight, North America's own ECW Champion Christian & Tommy Dreamer will take on No. 1 contender William Regal & Vladimir Kozlov. Can Christian & Dreamer hold off The British Brawler & The Moscow Mauler?

The opening intro was a neat little thing for Hurricane bringing him back to the ring, but this match was not good for an opener, it just kept on going. But i have to admit this match had some good spots in there one being Burchill doing a pele and that knee attack to the turnbuckle.

What a pointless interview. Is all I have to say, and were was Ezekiel? He didn't come in the back to beat on Tommy Dreamer to show he's better than Kozlov this week.

Another bad show of the Abraham Washigton show, and what makes it worse is he will be at SummerSlam.

Yosi Tatsu vs Ryder was alright, but I think it could have been better and damnit are we ever going to see Ryder's Zack Attack? I haven't seen that finisher in a while and its a cool finisher.

Main Event wasn't very good, but had a nice ending to it.

I liked this ECW. None of the matches were amazing, but they all accomplishing something whether it be debuting Hurricane officially in a match, elevating Zack Ryder or teaming Kozlov and Ezekiel.

I hope Kozlov and Ezekiel are a tag team on their own and Regal isn't involved really. I mean Regal having two bodyguards would be fine but I think I would tire of it quickly. It's fine for this episode, but I'd hate to drag down Regal with two big guys who IMO are a bit limited in the ring. I thought the beatdown was tremendous of Dreamer where Regal shouted instructions at Kozlov.

I can't believe that DX highlights have been the extra segment for two straight weeks now. Not even Cena-Orton. Probably because so little has really happened to advance that story.

For the 2nd night in a row, the curtain jerker was the best match on the show, in this case by default because there were only three. Hurricane is back, and Striker was in his glory with all the comic book references in commentary. Oh, this was fun! And Burchill busts out a PELE!!! Josh & Matt didn't know how to call it!;) :p :D

The main event was supposed to be a rematch from a few weeks ago (Dreamer/Christian v. Regal/Kozlov). Dreamer was the champ at the time, and Regal pinned him to make his case for the title. However, so much time has passed since, with Christian regaining the title, that creative simply forgot about Regal until last week. No shock as far as the loss of continuity, really. As soon as Dreamer was ambushed, I knew that opened a door for Ezekiel Jackson. However, if anyone ever entertained the idea of Jackson turning face (because ECW needs a few more besides Dreamer, Christian, & Hurricane), we got swerved out of our seats. The ending was just lazy booking 101. Creative doesn't believe Zeke is ready to be a babyface, so he stays heel and is now aligned with Kozlov & Regal. Throw in Katie & Paul Burchill, and you have a stable that could control ECW for a pretty good while. I'll call them the Global Inquisition.

Have to wonder about the injury angle with Dreamer, as well as with Yoshi Tatsu. Zack Ryder went to plan b in order to beat the rookie, and the air was let out of that match pretty quickly.

Back to Regal's new group. ECW hasn't had a real heel stable in a couple of years (New Breed), largely because of a lack of true veteran presence, something that Regal brings to the table. If he were to beat Christian at Summerslam (I doubt it, too soon for another title change), it would be another veteran being rewarded, but with Regal having similar baggage as, say Jeff Hardy (2 strikes and all that), can he be trusted to carry the ball at all? Remember, his push on Raw was stifled last year because of a suspension, same as Jeff.

The less said about Abraham Washington, the better. Vince and his ECW creative monkeys don't get it. Washington sucks, big time. Piling on the lies about ratings and such doesn't help. Besides, he's not a "late night" host by any stretch. Late night is defined as 11:35 (ET) or later, not 10:00. The jokes have been DOA, and trying to push the only other midcard feud on this show (Sheamus-Goldust) is hamstrung by the idiot writers bringing back 'Dust's Tourette's gimmick from '03. Sheamus beat 'Dust two weeks in a row on ECW, but then loses on Superstars, when about 1/4 of the audience is able to watch. Typically poor writing here.

Courtney (real name, Beverly Mullins, the latest callup from FCW) is a real hottie. Liked Dreamer trying to protect her when Regal showed up (TD: You need to go.), like the vet he is. Ms. Taylor probably won't stay very long, and could be moved to Smackdown or Raw so Josh won't have to do backstage interviews on the other shows.

A little tip to the Hurricane; your hair makes you look like Kane when he had a mask. No more gel for your hair, please.

Actually, turning Zeke face is a bad idea. He hasn't gone over with the crowd, and might be even more boring as a babyface, so him staying heel is the obvious betetr result.

Also, we already have a similar stable in TNA, The World Elite, but if that stable does happen, it shouldn't region related.

(sigh) So I guess I'm the only one who finds Goldust's Tourettes's funny? I'm weird. Anyways, while I think it's funny, why on Earth is it back? It just seemed random to me.

Also, the Abraham Washington Show being on SummerSlam is too dumb of a move to be described in words.

(TD: You need to go.)

Actually, I'm surprised he hasn't retired yet.

Why hasn't he retired yet?
