Just by watching the preview, I have to say that they seriously need to lay off the nerd character. He's better in small doses maybe once or twice a season, but not in every freakin' episode.

Expect a few complaints about the end of the World Wildlife Fund sketch.

***JACKO APPEARS***

Well, this episode is officially dated.

Also, two Dark Knight parodies. Nice.

I don't know, it was just a cameo that didn't really insult MJ in any way whatsoever. Now, if they'd thrown in a child molestion joke, it'd be a different story, but I don't think that part of the sketch would really offend anyone.

...and a Watchmen sketch to boot.

I think they'll get more complaints over the Chris Hanson bit.

Okay. Pirates had a poor grasp of hygiene. No need to go into details.

I haven't seen The Dark Knight. Was that required?

I think they were supposed to look down that bit there.

HA! Fortunately, I HAVE read the Watchmen comic! Not gonna catch me with my pants down THIS time!!!

There was a news guy in Brazil recently accused of setting up his news stories. This would have been relevant if they hadn't taken the pedophilia route.

Exits are north, south, and Dennis. Also, you can't get ye flask.

Dungeons and Dragons with a guy who likes crotch humor.

Expect a few complaints about the end of the World Wildlife Fund sketch.

I tuned in late. What was that one about?

I agree that nerd character has been overused so far. Atleast they brought back Gyro Robo and his older brother. The female geek was kinda cute. :anime:

Not to get off-topic, but wow. I think you might be the only one who hasn't.

I tuned in late. What was that one about? Basically, the skit involves various animals wasting the World Wildlife Fund's money on trivial things. The part that may be controversial is the end, which involves a rocket ship containing Michael Jackson ends up crashing. Given his recent death, I have a feeling that this sketch may be in bad taste to some people.

meh, this episode seemed kind of Weak to me,I enjoyed the Dark Knight skits & the Pirates was funny in the fact that he was being so Historically accuarate about pirates he scared his wife away..LULZ. But besides that the ep didn't do much for me, i think Seth may be running out of ideas, Still looking foward to the next ep though.

That sketch was based on a show on NBC called Dateline: To Catch a Predator. It is easily the most disgusting show I have ever seen on television. The concept of the show was that they would lure people to meet decoys posing as teenagers. They then arrested the targets after they talked with the host. They basically ruined people's lives under the guise of protecting children from predators. The show was widely criticized, and one rival news organization, ABC, did a harsh story on the show.

For the most part, the targets weren't pedophiles, as the decoys usually claimed their age was around 14. In real life, someone actually did sue them. One of the investigations resulted in the target blowing his brains out and his sister sued NBC. After paying millions of dollars in the settlement, NBC stopped making To Catch a Predator.

I haven't either, actually. But the Dark Knight sketches were still easy to follow, I think.

This is why I get my news from the BBC.

Clearly I am out of touch on what makes popular television nowadays, though with programs like this, I think I'm better off.

I was just watching the sketch and that's what popped into my head. For a brief second I also thought they were going to do something with the movie Predator.

This was Robot Chicken's weakest entry this season (so far). The Dateline: NBC sketch was very predictable and not very funny. The sketch about the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) animals spending all of the organization's money was fairly amusing, although I'm guessing that due to the appearance of Michael Jackson in the sketch i'm guessing that this one was written before MJ's death. Even though, MJ didn't really do anything in the sketch, I'm kind of surprised that Adult Swim allowed the sketch to be aired so soon after MJ's passing.

We get yet another appearance by Arthur Kensington Jr., aka, the Nerd, but at least the Nerd wasn't mercilessly dumped on this time. Overall, this last sketch had potential, but the execution was weak overall. It was nice to see Gyro Robo again, and also the presence of a female geek, but the sketch was ruined by the appearance of the repulsive Munsen. I hate obnoxious jerk characters who never receive any kind of come uppance for their behavior. Munsen always continues to be a big jerk and always gets away with it. Sometimes he's even rewarded for his bad behavior, which makes Munsesn not only a jerk, but a Gary Stu as well. I wish that just once, Munsen would lose. Just once.

2 out of 5 for me. Here's hoping that next week's sketch will be better.

I know they're gonna immediately respond to the MJ thing, and if not, something tells me it'll be banned.

The film Bruno had a MJ related scene that was cut, so I'm guessing this might as well?

Tobias

I don't think they'll ban that sketch. There was nothing offensive to MJ there beyond the 'What we think is Micheal Jackson' line.

Adult Swim had to have screened this episode sometime before it aired. If AS, or Seth Green & The RC crew, felt it would be in bad taste, they'd have pulled it before it aired or altered the scene to take MJ out.

For all we know, this could have been the sanitized version of the sketch that was changed before the episode made it to air, but only the people behind the scenes know the whole story.

The first "Dark Knight" skit (with the Batmobile) was laugh-out-loud hilarious.

I liked the Chris Hanson skit, too. Probably better than South Park's take on him.

Otherwise an average episode.

a few funny skits, but nothing really stood out to me.
