It was huge headache trying to make sense of this story (even moreso than "39 Characters"!), and I wound up going a bit overboard in writing new material (hey, I got bored! ;). But anyhow, I think I filled in all of the gaps and then some.
But naturally, since I took some rather large liberties, I don't want to put it up in the Archives until I'm sure everyone's cool with it. So the opinions of everyone (particularly the writers who worked on the original story--but the rest of you too) would be much valued. Speak now or forever hold your peace.
Was also thinking "The Once and Future Brain" would be a much clevererererererer, more fitting title. But again, I wouldn't change it unless I knew the rest of you were behind me. So I'm actually putting a little poll here to see which title is preferred.
I do hope all this doesn't seem too much, but I would like to make this the best story it possibly can be. Humor me. ;)
