Just heard a report on WCBS Radio news that "June Bugs" will be deleting the racially-sensitive titles, about a dozen cartoons in all according to the report.

Oh well.

Wonder what happened?

Oh well, I guess I won't have to run to Walgreen's after all.

Oh what a surprise!!! We all should really know better by now... The collective backbone of all the suits at WB/Turner/CN is less than that of the smallest slimiest mammal!!!

This is a huge step backwards for us. I always thought that we are a sophisticated society and we could watch " racial content" and know that it was a product of its time. We don't need the thought police telling us what we can and can't watch. Now it may be decades before we see these cartoons surface legitamately again, because if they don't want Bugs Bunny' image tarnished, you know the DVDs will be edited.

Apparently this June Bugs thing is getting some national media attention. I just had on the Fox News Channel and they said "coming up at the bottom of the hour, why Cartoon Network is refusing to air some Bugs Bunny cartoons".

They just said CN won't show them because they are too "racially charged", and one even has Bugs in blackface (GASP!). They showed the beginning of Bugs Bunny Bond Rally (Bugs playing the carrot like a flute), then some clips from "Yankee Doodle Bugs", "Bunker Hill Bunny", and I think "Forward March hare".
