Really enjoyed this one, it was nice to have an Emerson focused episode.
Lots of great bits here, but nothing quotable comes to my mind at the moment. My favorite part was definitely the ending since I was glad the creators were able to fit in an episode that conclusively ended the ongoing plot with Emerson's daughter. Even if we don't actually see them together, I'd say its a sure bet he'll get to see her again.
The preview bothered me though, because you could really tell that it isn't an episode meant to be the series finale. I'm gonna miss this show. =\

I'm hopeful I will watch the finale this weekend, I really enjoyed this episode. All of the jokes about the dam were great. This was a good dam episode. ;)
"Not to mention a ruby that he flaunted like a trophy wife at a high school reunion."
It was great seeing Robert Picardo (Voyager's Doctor) as Det. Pugate. You would think Emerson would run into the police more often, but I can't recall a previous time. And that is a shame because I would have loved to see more of Pugate.
"I'll be in the kitchen rationalizing my panic attack."
Olive breaking up with Randy was a shock and then Ned had a heckuva time putting her back on the right track. Randy doesn't deserve to be a rebound guy. I didn't watch the episode yesterday, but I don't remember Ned's feeling of jealousy when he saw Olive & Randy in the last episode really being addressed.
"I have a question, can love you something absolutely crazy?"
"I went to a nunnery."
I loved that exchange between Ned and Olive. :) Emerson did eventually uncover what was going on so I guess he didn't do anything too crazy in trying to figure out who actually killed Rollie Stingwell and what happened to his dam ruby. Sadly after that he made the mistake of trusting Lyla again and she stole his car and his daughter.
"No one else would have been stupid enough to try."
Wrapping, I really enjoyed the case and the reveal that Michael Blunt was about to lose his free water when the pipes were replaced. The glowing flowers were a terrific reveal. Now a couple more quotables...
"Well just because it was ajar doesn't change the fact that it was a door before it was ajar—which would indicate to most people to a-knock before a-enterin'."
"You know you ain't foolin' anybody right?"
"Huh?"
"I know that every secret I tell you spends about 20 seconds bein' a secret before it spills out of your mouth into dead girl's ears."
The preview bothered me though, because you could really tell that it isn't an episode meant to be the series finale. I'm gonna miss this show. =\I haven't seen that episode just yet (remember spoilers for that episode don't belong in this thread), but I can tell you that it was not. As a matter of fact, I had read that it was possibly intended to be the midseason cliffhanger, but then ABC axed the series instead.
