I remember really enjoying Zero and CC when they aired on Toonami, but I can't remember much about them.

Chaotic Century/Guardian Force:

My favorite of the bunch. Has the best characters, the best storyline and overall is the most enjoyable to watch and become absorbed in. It also gets points for being the most nostalgic, for me.

Genesis:

Second favorite. Has a very likable cast with some very unique Zoids. The storyline is fairly simple, but the twists add a lot of tension and excitement. The battles are just awesome, especially the ones that happen on a larger scale (particularly the all out war that occurs towards the end).

New Century/Zero:

Third. The storyline is nothing special and the characters are pretty run-of-the-mill, but the tournament-style presentation is exciting and they make good use of it. The action is the big drawing point of the series and it does not disappoint, especially the final battle between the Liger Zero and Beserk Fury.

Fuzors:

This doesn't rank for me, since I never finished it. The characters were boring, the plot wasn't interesting and I never really liked the idea of Zoids "combining" (it's a concept more suited to super robot shows). If I had finished it, I might not have thought it was so bad, but my memories of it are not fond and I have no interest in attempting to finish it.

Overall:

Zoids is my favorite anime series, hands down. A lot of it is due to the fact that animal-styled mecha appeals to me more than anything else in the genre, but overall I think the idea is well executed and with good supporting casts and stories each series becomes engaging and fun to watch. So far there have been ups and downs, but I think the better series far outweight the ones that aren't so impressive. Thus far nothing has topped CC/GF, but Genesis came really close and I am looking forward to what the next one will turn out like (provided there is one).

I remember watching this, and I think I still have a few tapes of it. Anyways, I loved New Century. That is the one I watched the most often. Bit and Liger Zero, from episode one, had me hooked.

As for Chaotic Century, I remember watching it a lot in the mornings. I don't remember much except that the main character is Van(?) and he piloted with another girl, in a Shield Liger. I remember it had a good story, but truth be told, I don't remember it all.

Yeah, I remember getting up really early every morning so I could watch it before school.

Same here. And I remember every time they never actually showed the ending and just restarted from episode 1, until the final four aired on Toonami.

Good times, but man...I hated the waiting. Such a bad place to stop.

-Chaotic Century was enjoyable fare.
-ZERO wanted to make me tear my hair out because the protagonist was so annoying.
-Fuzors was just... eh.
-Then I stopped caring about anything else.

Chaotic Century and Guardian Force are my two favorite Zoids series. Both had the best storyline, great characters and character development and a satisfying conclusion. I remember watching some of New Century on Toonami and while it had some interesting moments, I really couldn't get into it that much. I didn't enjoy Fuzor that much at all if I remember correctly. It wasn't horrible, but I just couldn't get into the series myself. I haven't watch Gensis yet as I'm hoping that Viz will finally do something with the dub, but I would like to see that series at some point.
