I never heard of spiderman Unlimited until I saw it on disney xd. I saw a few episodes and I liked It. When I saw the finale I was mad because the ending was them about to die and It says to be continued when there arent any more episodes. I read on wikipedia that a script was written for season 2 and an ending to season 1. I was wondering did the script of season 2 ever leak onto the internet?

Not that I know of, but if it did, I'd love to read it! That series was extremely underrated simply because it wasn't typical Spider-Man!

^----- that statement above me -----^ is extremely over rated as this show was god awful. it made me sad to be a fan of cartoons, like avengers: united we stand.

Spider-Man Unlimited, like the Spider-Man cartoon before it and the one after it, suffered from early cancellation cliffhanger (although at least with the one before it, the ending did feel like a finale).

Spider-Man: Unlimited wasn't that bad. It was average. To answer your question, there was plan for a second season, but it was never aired.

Not that i recall, i know there were scripts for Season 2 of Silver Surfer, we were robbed! so it's possible but it was'nt spidey greatest cartoon. Still they attempted something new and daring sometimes it works out well (Batman Beyond) and some times it does'nt (Loonatics) but they were brave enough to take a risk.

It looked like PETA was left incharge for plotlines.

Silver Surfer was getting a second season, but there was a Marvel lawsuit/bankruptcy issue that caused it to get canned.
A Captain America series that was also in development at the time suffered the same fate, which is too bad because the Captain America show looked awesome.
What sucks is that when Marvel started making new shows again we were forced to suffer through Avengers United They Stand and Spider-man Unlimited. Its like this is what we were waiting for? Neither show lasted a full season, they were awful and not to the standard of storytelling of the previous shows that had come before.
I think if you go to Marvel Animation Age, you can read a really good interview with John Semper about working on the 90's Spider-man series, and that Avi Arad while I guess he did a good job in getting the deals made was a terrible at the creative process and screwed a lot of things up.

Actually, it was the intention to have it take place during WWII that sealed its fate before the banruptcy. That was the hurtle that it couldn't overcome.
Neither show lasted a full season
A:UTS ran its full 13 episodes without being canceled. SMU on the other hand, was murdered by Pokemon after 3 shows, with the rest of its dead body stuffed in a freezer until it was found a year later. Same happened to "Big Guy and Rusty", really.

Okay, everyone complains about the Spider-Man TAS cliffhanger, and, quite frankly, I don't see why. The ending was extremely satisfying, and the search for MJ is more of a sidenote as far as I'm concerned. It wasn't a suspenseful cliffhanger which leaves you begging for more - it was an interesting one which leaves you guessing at what could have happened. And, in all honesty, if they did have a sixth season, it would've been pretty lousy.... It would have suffered from corniness and an overly simplified plot.
Now Spider-Man Unlimited - that leaves you wanting more! It's just all like, "Everybody's going to die!!!! To Be Continued!!!!", and then, it's not continued....
Now, I'm pretty sure that they even started production of a part two and scripts for some of the rest of Season 2 (though I can't say I know 100%), but I don't think they've ever released anything. They are evil!!!

Here's my theory on that based on my own reaction to the finale of the 90s Spider man. When I saw the last episode I believe I was around 10. So I had spent some time invested in the show. For it to end on a cliffhanger really didn't sit well with me and as I got older the resentment kind of just stuck. When you're that young I guess we expect things to be told to us 100%. Now that Im almost 22, I don't really feel that bad about it..but I still don't think it was a good end and thats partly due to me still holding those initial feelings...just deep down.

I wasn't bothered too much that the show ended on a cliffhanger because it sucked. And I assume most people thought that way too. Although I thought that the cliffhanger, those last 3 minutes, were probably the best thing that show ever did. But when you have a show that fails to connect on any level a cliffhanger loses all purpose.
I'm not sure if they did work on a second season due to Marvel's financial situation. They might have waited to see the numbers when this show premiered and maybe done some pre-production( this is all speculation ) however when the show tanked in the ratings they scrapped it completely.

This is the first I've heard of that. Then why did Silver Surfer not get a second season. Where did you hear that?

Silver Surfer didn't get renewed due to your original reason. Marvel's bankruptcy. I thought Cap was the same reason but I can see why the WWII setting might also be a factor in why it wasn't made.

Well, that's a bit more understandable, but if you watch it when you're older, you have to admit - it does work....

I disagree with you entirely and believe your opinions may be biased, but to each his own....

Barely, It comes off sort like they had forgotten the whole MJ thing and just added it in at the last minute of the episode. Either they should've done it in the first place or just resolved it. Something about that cliffhanger still feels tacked on.

I don't see how my opinions are biased as I wasn't really comparing it to anything or showing any signs of bias. On its own merits and when compared to nothing else its a terrible show to me and many others. But everything has at least one fan.
And why's that?
WWII = intense violence, the kind that can't be shown in great detail on a Saturday morning cartoon. JL got away with it with 3 episodes and most shows use flashbacks as well like X Men Evolution. But even those shows probably pushed the amount of violence that can be shown when depicting WWII. But a whole season is what they wanted and that just cannot happen..I'm actually surprised who ever was developing the show actually thought that would be even doable.

Maybe it was for the best. Spider-Man Unlimited didn't exactly have any great plots to begin with. In fac the juciess thing that was going to happen was
The redheaded chick was going to find out that the High Evolutionary was her uncle.
Wow. That sure would've been a huge shock at the end of season one... not.
Peter didn't really care what happened on Counter-Earth. All he wanted was to get Jameson and bolt. Even when he agreed to help out, it still felt like he was just doing it to humor Jameson long enough until A) They won or B) Jameson got tired of fighting and want to leave. I also didn't like how villains from Earth were remade into new villains on Counter-Earth i.e. - Green Goblin and Kraven. I though the series was continued from Spider-Man TAS not it's own continuity.

Does anyone have any idea as to what the producers were planning for "Season 6" of the 94 Spider-Man series? Since I remember that I was really into the show, along with the 92 X-Men, since the 94 Spider-Man was on YTV every night after school, while the X-Men were only on Saturday mornings, and when the last episode aired and I saw Spider-Man and Madame Web heading off for the unknown, I was like "Boy! The next episodes should be really great!" Unfortunately, YTV started to reair the first episodes of the series, and by the time they got through the series 2 more times, I realized that there were no more "Brand-New" Spider-Man episodes.
So, for me, I feel like the series still hasn't come to a satisfying conclusion, and I'd still like to see the producers of the show to come back together and finish the series.

Hopefully when Marvel and Disney get around to releasing Spider-Man Unlimited on DVD, if there are any completed episodes from Season 2 sitting on videotape somewhere in the Disney and Marvel vaults, that those episodes will be released as bonuses (sort of like what Disney did with the Dinosaurs DVD set, where they released the entire series, and then after they got through the 65 episodes that had originally been aired on Network TV, Disney also included the 6 or 8 episodes that had only been aired in Syndication, but in their Network cuts, as Bonus Unaired Episodes).

It can be frustrating when any show, or movie franchise for that matter, gets cancelled before specific story arcs are completed.
Whether you like Spider-Man Unlimited or not, it had/has its fans and it's annoying that the story it was trying to tell never got resolved. The same can definately be said about Silver Surfer, that series end up with the Surfer possibly being destroyed by Thanos.
I think at the time it was worse because Marvel were quite big with their ongoing stories. Many 80s cartoons were cancelled but it didn't seem too bad because they were often 'stories of the week'. Dungeons and Dragons would be similar, technically the kids didn't get home. Although their fate was shown in The Girl who Dreamed Tomorrow.
I'm eagerly awaiting its DVD release in the UK, hopefully it'll come out after Spider-Man: TAS has finished. Was it great? No. Was it good? I think so.
