Lots of people love the highly overrated Mario games, and I'm here to tell you why they SUCK, and you're a moron if if you even consider them good platformers. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are people who like this crap, hell there are people who think Strider is the best ninja game of all time (lol), but I'm here to tell you WHY these games are broken and why they totally suck.

So in conclusion, Mario games suck because of the following reasons and if you disagree, you might as well hand in your gaming card and shop at Walmart with the rest of us.

Reason #1: You can't clothesline enemies

How idiotic is that? No, if you run into an enemy in a Mario game... YOU DIE! What kind of broken game design is that? No, in a REAL game, if you run into the enemy, they're the ones that should be hurt. I mean, can you name one single platform game that kills you when you run into an enemy?

BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE MARIO GAMES SUCK.





















Reason #2: Fire Flowers are too unpredictable

What a useless powerup, am I right? How the hell can you aim these bastards when they jump all over the bloody screen? The answer? You can't aim them. Sega made one hell of a stupid design choice with this idiocy. Why don't they shoot, I don't know, STRAIGHT? Sure they would sail over most enemies heads, but at least you could aim them.























Reason #3: Piranha Plants can't be jumped on

This is just questionable game design. WHY can you hop on EVERY other enemy on the game, but not on these things? It's not like these things make the game any damn harder damn, they just make it tedious. Why? Because now you have to time your jumps.

Yeah, you heard me. You have to time your jumps.

That is the most asinine platformer mechanic I've ever seen. Not only do you have to aim the stupid fireballs, not only can you not run into enemies, but now you have to time your stupid jumps.

Talk about sucking out the challenge.

Reason #5: Slashing enemies is too hard

I mean, come on. Even in Ninja Gaiden and Strider you can slash your enemies with a singe button press. Mario games are the same freaking genre and you need to input a complex button movement just to even get a little one out. The picture above should say it all, I had to smack my controller around to get Mario to do the above slash.

Weak.



So, to begin, Mario games are bad and you should feel bad for liking them. There is nothing remotely salvagable about the game and if you think there is you are a dummy head bleh.

With Phantom Menace coming out this year, I can look forward to all sorts of Star Wars Episode I games from this company, and judging by their track record, those games are probably going to be as stellar as their graphic adventure games! I think they're going to be even better NEXT decade too!
