Exhibit 1: On the latest commercial for those fruit roll paste thingies (remember fruit bars? I'm sure the Captain does), someone is saying, "Got it. Got it. DON'T GOT IT!" I thot of Loud Kiddington.

Exhibit 2: That density core from MIB's Irritable Bow-Wow reminded me of Brain's Black Hole In a Jar.

Exhibit 3: I've expressed before the idea of a PPG / Dylan connection, but it don't seem likely. Of course, there's Meet the Beat-Alls. And the Dylan connection goes more with Daria. However I think I've found a possible ref. From The Mighty Quinn: "...but jumping queues & making haste just ain't my cup of meat..." Cup of meat? Or maybe a jar of meat... jam? From the PPG pilot, Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins. Possible connection? I'll leave it to Dylan expert Dr. Belch & PPG expert Sharklady to ponder that one.

True. There was a Dylan-esque folk singer in a Sheep in the Big City ep...a pearl in the dungheap, one might say.

However I think I've found a possible ref. From The Mighty Quinn: "...but jumping queues & making haste just ain't my cup of meat..."
I used that one myself in my second Daria FanFic, in which she meets Brain and Pinky in one of their global domination thingies. Jane references an incident of the three J's getting drunk at a keg party and singing that song a capella outside Quinn's bedroom window. Also, several Dylan songs appear on the "soundtrack" including "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" (appropriate for Daria) and "Tiny Montgomery" (Brain uses the alias Professor Montgomery Braindolce and passes himself off as Quinn's Spanish tutor).

That density core from MIB...reminded me of Brain's Black Hole In a Jar.
The principle is the same. Einsteinian physics say that an infinite amount of matter can be fit into a finite space (which explains how Mrs. Einstein packed suitcases). The black hole, whether in a alien orb or a jelly jar, is the pentultimate example of this theory in action. Little wonder Superman's nemisis Jaxx-Or was so smitten with them.
As far as fruit bars go...I vaguely recall them. These days they're totally redone and repackaged with fiber added (what with this country on a health kick and all). I was considering adding a box of them to my next Melaleuca order.... :D
