Looks like Ren and Stimpy's been cancelled yet again, this time on VH1, due to low ratings. Can't exactly say I'm surprised, although I am rather upset that I didn't get a chance to see some of the classics like 'Stimpy's Fan Club', 'Stimpy's Invention' and 'Sven Hoek' this time around.

Anyone know if there's a chance of R & S being released on DVD?

Nope. Spumco has no rights to anything Ren & Stimpy related. That's why Nick was able to fire them from the show.

Wait? Doesn't VH1 always get low ratings? I mean, its one of those channels that still comes in without a cable box, so it can't be that much of a moneymaker :p . But Ren & Stimpy Rocks...well...rocked. Even with the time edits (although if they didn't have 5 minutes of commericals every break then they could have left some things in). Oh well, I guess it's good that I recorded some of it while I could.

Disney didn't pay billions and billions of dollars to acquire the Fox Family Channel because of its content our audience -- they were interested in its wide reach and low placement on cable systems (usually around channel 19).
