As was mentioned in The "Hey, CN Just Got Some Decent Merchandising" Thread (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?p=3163957), Cartoon Network is going to be releasing a Johnny Bravo video game for the Nintendo DS (with Blast Entertainment (http://www.blast-games.com/en/default.asp)). The game is called "Hukka-Mega-Mighty-Ultra-Extreme Date-O-Rama", and you play as Johnny Bravo, trying to win a date with a chick on a TV show. The website for the game is here (http://www.blast-games.com/en/product.asp?pid=742), and it also has some screenshots.
Play the part of Johnny Bravo in this inherently humorous game and compete against rival studs over a number of events to win a date with the chick on the Hukka-Mega-Mighty-Ultra-Extreme Date-O-Rama TV show! The game has the same look and feel as the TV series and the simple yet fun design makes it instantly accessible to casual and non-hardcore gamers. Use the NDS stylus to try and beat your opponent in the Muscle Madness weight lifting event and have fun throwing rubbish in the recycling bins or straight at your opponents in Taking Out the Trash. Use the Cheese-O-Vac suction gun to vacuum up the plague of mice, then blow into the NDS microphone to clear the collected rodents ready for the next Cheese-O-Vac vendetta! Control the food catapult using NDS Touch Screen Technology - try to impress the chick by firing all the food at your rival! The Creator of Johnny Bravo, Van Partible, has had a huge amount of input into the creation of the game and has designed the cover artwork and drew specific art characters for the game as well as hidden unlockable concepts (five items).

Seems a bit late, doesn't it?
Also, those graphics look pretty awful.

Why? I don't see where they're going with this. Maybe if they made a "Cartoon Network Classic" campaign where they focus on older cartoons, it would make more sense. But that's not the case because this is totally random.

it seems like lousy licensing, hoping people will buy it since they love the show.
Maybe it's for the European market. They probably still air the show over there.

I saw the cover art for the game last night and I was surprised too. Maybe it's the sign of the live-action version of the show coming out?
It's a bit too late to save what's left of the Johnny Bravo fans. CN, when ya announce a DS version of FusionFall, then we'll give a darn but right now, these games from the Ed, Edd, Eddy to Foster's Home...games have been nothing but cash-ins just because these shows were popular at the time. And all of them have been big bombs to my knowledge.

...What!?
...Yeah, this is gonna suck. Don't get me wrong, I loved JB to death, but this?...
No. Just No.

Don't they already have dating sims over on Newgrounds that you can play for free?

I'll have fun throwing THIS rubbish in the recycling bin or at my opponents.

Man, I was really excited at just seeing the name "Johnny Bravo," in the title of this thread. But when I actually read the rest of the title, and consequently the news posted in the 1st post of this thread, I just can't help but be disgusted. This game sounds, and looks, like something CN clapped together in 5 minutes, and meant to make an online flash-game out of, but then decided to try and sell it to fans of the series, for a quick buck.
Honestly, I LOVE Johnny Bravo (well, all of it except for the last 2 seasons), but I just find it insulting that CN thinks that fans of the series would really be suckered into buying this garbage.

I thought more people would be happy with the fact that Van Partible (http://www.cartoonnetworkla.com/english/watch/creator/vpartible.html) had a lot of input on this game, but I guess not.

More like 10 years too late...

Look at those screenshots. LOOK AT THEM. That is not Nintendo DS quality. It's not even Game Boy Advance quality. Heck, even the flash games at CN's website look better.
I agree that it looks terrible, as it clearly seems to be something thrown together in a rush. It's not even something people should even be charged for, specially with all the games at CN's website that clearly look better than this.
If you're not even putting efforts to the graphics, you have to do better than eight mini-games.

What do you guys expect? American-made video games (with a few exceptions) are lower quality than Japan-made video games.

That's right I saw a preview for a The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiy and it looked like the motion sencing in the game was good and it was a franchise game.

That has nothing to do with anything. An East vs West argument has no place in this discussion, IMHO.
Seriously it's just a licensed game based on a Cartoon Network property. Are those ever any good in the first place? Most licensed games are horrible to begin with these days, unless the word "Lego" is in the title.
Wow, this looks awful.
I just hope that this game paves the way for Johnny Bravo: The Complete Series.

No matter if the creator helped or not, a bad game is a bad game.

How is a horrible-looking game that no doubt will sell poorly going to prove to CN and WB Home Video that there's a market for a complete Johnny Bravo DVD set?

Which leads me to assume that this is a small licensed project that's been sitting on the drawing board for years, and they've finally decided to throw it on the store shelf half-finished.
Surprised it got this many replies though.

Agreed. Makes you wonder who they're marketing this for. Last time I checked Bravo isn't even on CN, and all of us who remember the show vividly would likely throw down on Call of Duty after work than play a Sim, so...

I'll wait a month and get it at Gamesop for $4.99
