I think that Superman's strength is just fine. It has beenbuilding since the beginning of the show which it show do. If they showed Superman kicking ***** in the first season, then what would be left for later on. I don't rememebr Superman being incredibly powerful early on in Superman: TAS, I mean he got his butt kicked by a guy in a robotic police suit. It takes for the series to reach its peak.
Just think of it as Superman starting over. He is afraid to use his power because of Legacy and what happened. So it is going to take him a while before he reaches that point again. Don't worry a couple seasons into it, there won't be any doubt in peoples minds why they call him Superman.
