Sounds fun.

Why has American Dad had 3 new episodes so far, and Family Guy has not?

I am not complaining as I like American Dad more then Family Guy, I am just curious. Same with the Simpsons too.

I loved the part where Roger rolled his eyes when Steve was talking about Star Trek.

Cheating on a whole family with another family? lol

I loved the part where Roger rolled his eyes when Steve was talking about Star Trek.

Is it me, or are there way too many Star Trek jokes/references?

I mean, there was even an episode named "Star Trek"

More families? This is hilarious.

"I could ask you the same question! It wouldn't make sense, but I could ask it!"

They made up and Stan is all huggy. Awww.

So is Claus the American Dad version of Meg?

So Roger is cheating on even more families now?

Steve seems really infuriated.

Also Roger chooses them.

Good so far.

Pretty good episode, but... I dunno, something's missing. It's not as funny as it usually is. It feels very frivolous over-all.

...I think it's the fish. He doesn't really work in anything except for quick jokes. And the plot just seems to be fooling around too.

A couple of great lines, though.

"Jenny, you better shut your mouth, or I'll cut your face!"

Good lord.

This episodes okay, but I agree it's missing something.

EDIT: Alright, Koala cutaway is stupid and unfunny.

I thought that the koala was funny. Thought it was gonna be like a new spin-off.

The Koala ending was random, and it wasn't that funny either.

The Koala scene was GOLD!

This episode out shined Family Guy's tonight.

Something was off about this one. I don't get how this whole thing with Roger worked. How exactly is he getting into these other families?

That Koala joke felt like something out of Family Guy.

Poor Klaus. He's definitely suffering from Meg Griffin syndrome. The writers obviously have no idea what to do with his character. In the pilot he was a hornball for Francine, then he became just a regular character with no real defining traits, and now he's becoming the fall guy.

I guess I'm in the minority because I thought the koala ending was so silly it was funny.

And, yeah, poor Klaus. He is becoming the "Meg" of the show.

Yeah I thought it was funny too. But I tend to find mock TV openings funny generally anyway.

I know and that's why it made me laugh. It felt as if that was the cutaway they cut from FG in favor for the last minute Christian Bale joke.

Eh...Going with the majority who thought it was funny...but it was missing something.

I'm willing to bet money we see more Koala.

I thought that too(about the Koala) and it was a bit out of left field, and really Klaus has become the "Meg" of the show.
The tier of AD episodes with the main characters goes like this:
1.Stan
2. Roger
3.Steve
4. Francine
5. Hayley
6.Klaus

The last decent episode he ever got was "Finances with Wolves" and maybe "Of Ice & Men".

Mediocre. The whole conceptual joke of "Roger being with another family = cheating on a spouse = addiction" wasn't really funny in and of itself, but they kept going on as if it were. It's like that Frasier episode where they act like caviar is cocaine. You gotta have more than just that one joke going on. And Steve was excruciatingly annoying, too.

Still better than Simpsons or Family Guy, though.

I'll give you this.

But I can only give you half of that. And you know which half. ;)

I just couldn't get behind this episode. How is Roger meeting these families? Why are they accepting him into their families? I can understand his connection to the Smiths since they know he's an alien, but why would another family just accept him into their family like that? Very little of this makes any sense.

And I'm starting to feel bad for Klaus.

Me and my sister kept on imitating the koala all night, man.

"Hey girl. Hey girl. Hey,girl....I know you hear me."

And also, I honestly laughed at Hayley's deadpan uninterested expression throughout most of this episode. No one else noticed that?

Was that Koala gag the second time a cutaway happened in American Dad?

Yeah, I found it weird how in the last episode he seemed to get annoyed with Francine. It appears he's no longer in love with her.

That's Hayley's expression generally, isn't it? In all of the episodes that I've seen, Hayley's general expression/attitude towards the proceedings ranges from disinterested to annoyed.

To further compound the matter, in some of those photos of Roger with other families at Disney World, he was posing as one of the children in these families. How does that work?

Maybe Dee Bradley Baker is getting less interested in his role...

Wait.

Dee no longer interested in a role? IT'S A SIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE.

Not much to add that others haven't already said, but I'd pick the Koala spin-off over The Cleveland Show anyday.

Huh,

They did abandon his crush on Francine. Yet they still did more with Klaus than the FG crew ever dared to do with Meg. If it's one thing American Dad has over its predecessor, it's character development.
