Um yeah. This is the introduction. Anyone know if the titles already taken:sweat:

___________________________________________________________-

Dear reader,

I sincerely welcome you. My name is Mark Hamilillion. I am, if I would be so bold, something of an adventurer-retired, certainly, but I have not forgotten my youthful ramblings. I am disturbed by the increasing number of adventurers (whether they be noble paladins, power-seeking sorcerers, or opportunistic thieves) that’s own journeys are cut tragically short. People have always died of course; there is no point in questing if there is to be no danger. But recently it seems that we are suffering from an acute lack of heroes, of any sort, which is quite troubling. Nothing in the world will ever be accomplished without heroes; we will all be food for the dragons, or the shades, or, even worse, slaves to be used by the demons.
I attribute these recent failings to two shortcomings in today’s society. The first is an amazingly idiotic attitude on the parts of the nation’s firmer pacifists and naturalists, who maintain that it is not necessary to learn combat skills and that no creature should be slain wantonly (respectively). I consider myself both a pacifist and a naturalist; I dislike war, and hold firm to the idea that there are few things that justify it; and I love and respect nature, and would rather die myself then see one of our Earth’s creatures go extinct. But be reasonable, man! When the Dragora lay waste to our cities, are we too sit on our arses and watch it burn? No! We are to take up shield and sword and ride against the beasts, we are to defend ourselves and our people! Any option of diplomacy or peace at that point is laughable.
The second, and even sadder reason, seems to be a general decline of preparation. If an adventurer does set out, he is always ill-prepared, and the first kelpie he comes across will be a full kelpie by nightfall. That is my reason for writing this text; it is to be encyclopedia, atlas, map, guide, and warning sign in one. I suggest reading it before an adventure rather than during, as one cannot read a book while fighting a manticore.

I hope it helps. Very sincerely, the worlds greatest adventurer-

Mark Hamillion

There's a wiki that uses the Enclyclopedia Fantastica part of the title put it's main focus is to catalog the fantasy genre as a whole. Other than that your's is the only other entry that pops up when I Google the title.

I'm keeping it, then. Wiki's don't scare me:mad:

(FTR, I am still working on this, it's just going slowly... very slowly...)
