Did anyone see this ad yet?
Basically, they're having a Valentine's Day marathon tomorrow that they're calling "Cartoon Network XO", and the ad for it even feels modeled after the Disney XD ads.
Just thought some of you might find this interesting and funny.

I thought the same thing. Although I'm positive that people will say it's just because XO stands for hugs & kisses, which is does but c'mon just look at it.

Wow, seriously? I wish I knew about this sooner, I'll have to tune in a bit early tomorrow to catch this promo, I guess. Maybe I'll pick up the packaging, while I'm at it?

The ads' styles are basically CN calling Disney XD posers. It's a very subtle satire of XD's style and bumpers.

This is it's only redeeming quality. I love when networks take shots at eachother in a downlow kind of way.

It's going to be pretty! I wonder what are each other doing to boost up they're ratings?
until XD is in as many homes as cartoon network it will never be a true competitor and I think Cartoon Network knows that.

Amazing. After only 1 day, when all Disney did was rename Toon Disney and add on a few new shows plus reruns of Static Shock, people are already worshiping Disney Close Eyed Grin like some kind of golden calf. Is Disney paying you guys to say all that stuff? I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything, but I'm racking my brain trying to understand what Disney XD did in just two days to make you guys love it so much. Is Aaron Stone really that good?

And how does that work? DXD only has four originals, three which haven't even premiered yet. Besides that, i don't really see how it could be better, unless you really like Aaron Stone.
In Disney XD's defense, they're a young network that at least has a clear vision of what they want to be, unlike Cartoon Network. CN is just worried about what they have to be this week to get the kids on board, which is a shame, but like I've said before, that's the children's TV industry these days.

Wow, Batman, Ben 10 and TSS are three of my current favorites, I guess they cant please everyone. XD I would/will watch for the Marvel content.

None of their (current) new shows really interest me (the jury's still out on Jimmy Two-Shoes, since I haven't seen it yet). While I do like The Fantastic Four, they're just reruns that I've seen a number of times before. UPN's Hulk series was kind of weak, and I was a never a fan of Static Shock.
If it wasen't for Chowder, Flapjack, and the eds, I woulden't even be in this board.
Conversely, I'd never go the Disney board if it wasn't for Yin Yang Yo! and some of the animated features.

I'm not devoted to any 1 channel, but I think that Disney XD is highly overrated. Precisely my point. Disney XD isn't the best kids' channel. It's only the newest. Just because it's new doesn't mean that it's automatically the Best Thing Ever. How can you seriously declare yourself a fanboy for a channel for a channel that's only a few days old and hasn't been around long enough to carve a niche for itself?

How is Disney XD a poser?
Some people feel that DXD is trying too hard to be self-consciously hip, what with the gratuitous shots of skateboarders, kids playing in garage bands, rapid-fire video editing and their announcer dude and boys' voices screaming out buzzwords at given intervals. The CN spots were lampooning that aspect of the channel.

If that's really how you guys feel, then that's cool and all; it's not a competition so which channel you prefer overall is entirely up to the individual, but I'd really like to know why some people are placing DXD in such a high regard in such a short time.
What exactly do you feel makes DXD so much better than CN? This question has been posed a few times on the Disney forum, but the only answers I've been able to muster from folks are "because it's new" and "because the bumps are simpler", both of which are kind of flimsy and insubstantial reasons for preferring a channel, IMO.
Some DXD supporter, please enlighten us all, and not in a simplistic kiddie way, if that's at all possible: just what do you find to be so great about Disney XD? I'm not trying to be facetious; I genuinely would like to know.
