A LITTLE RESPECT
When The Miz meets Tommy Dreamer tonight, the ECW Original looks to avenge last week's attacks by the World Tag Team Champions. What will happen on ECW on Sci Fi at 9/8 CT?

Excellent. ECW needed a Top Face, and hey, ECW Stars are on all three brands, so hey, I'm not complaining! Can't really fit him into the Main Event programs on RAW and Smackdown, so this is really the best thing they could do. Interesting timing though...I guess since ECW is Live for the first time in a long time, thought it would be a nice surprise, which it was. You know this would have been in all the Spoilers otherwise..

YES! HELL YES! They better not screw him up, because the moment his music hit, he became the official face of ECW. If the writers, mess up Christian's resurrection in the company, that will be unacceptable.

Huh, it also looks like Miz has a new move.

Did I call it or did I call it? I said they'd probably have Christian return to ECW, win the ECW Championship, and then feud with his former partner, Edge, in a battle of the champions. I've been saying they should do it for three months, ever since it was confirmed he had resigned with WWE. It's ironic though that one week after many said ECW needed more wrestlers that they add two in one night.

His music is a remix of his last one before leaving WWE with male vocals and different riffs. Its awesome. And he goes by Christian, gotta stay with what he had when he left before.

I liked Christian's theme when a female was singing it personally.

Frankly it's no surprise he is going by Christian. Christian is the name WWE has a copyright for for him. I also doubt Christian would want to let WWE have the Christian Cage name in case he ever chooses to leave again.

Oh darn. I was hoping he was coming out in the TNA theme music. :p

I too prefer the female singing the theme instead.

I can't say I was happy with Finlay getting involved at the end of the match, but YES! to Christian getting the win. Hornswoggle on commentary was plain annoying, but Finlay provided decent insight on the competitors involved. Striker also once again showed why he's the best analysis in the game today.

Grisham: Swagger vs. Striker will continue with Finlay and Hornswoggle joining us.
Striker: I'm not wrestling.

Striker: I know you've felt that hold before. Tell us some of the experience as top what it feels like.

Not the way I wanted Christian to win even though it was the most likely way to happen.

So Christian finally returns----and lands in ECW. There's only one way to describe it.....

HOT DAMN!!!
Having been accustomed to being a solo act as a main eventer in TNA, Christian didn't want to be attached to Edge again, so they held him off and they must've sold him on the idea of being the #1 face of ECW. He's always been the more talented one between him & Edge anyway. He owned Swagger on the mic, even getting off a Sylvester tagline. I've a feeling we'll see Christian in Money in the Bank V at Mania unless he gets the next ECW title shot.

And he wasn't the only debut. Tyson Kidd (TJ Wilson) was called up, and given a rent-a-jobber squash. His first program will otherwise be with Jamie Noble. That should be fun. Natalya has moved over to ECW, so now we have 4 women (Nat, Katie Lea, Tiffany, & Alicia Fox) on the roster.

Miz has added a new finisher, which looks like Shane Douglas' Franchiser. Shouldn't have won, though, unless Dreamer's losing streak is just a reverse of Ric Flair's pre-retirement winning streak from last year. That is wrong, just the same. Dreamer has been mostly a JTTS since coming to WWE nearly 8 years ago.

Christian-Swagger was fine, but we could've done without Finlay & Hornswoggle factoring into the finish. Finlay's not going to win on Sunday anyway, and Swagger jobbing in this spot clinches that. Sometimes I wonder if some of these writers are permananently out to lunch.

'jobber to the stars'....in case you missed miz's win over dreamer you can watch a replay when dreamer faces morrison next week.

otherwise this ecw was great. they actually shocked everyone while beefing up the roster significantly. this is what ecw desperatly needed-actually giving us some surprises instead of a broadcast you can just sleepwalk through. i think this friday on smackdown ecw deserves it's first 'rewind' segment in place of raw.

The ECW Rebound... haha sadly its not gonna happen, but they definitely need to do a playback of his return for those who don't watch the brand. That'd be definately a way to get more viewers for the program.

Kinda wish they would have held out Christian's return for at least another week. I mean, you already knew that Swagger was winning on Sunday, but still. That whole "Suspension of Belief" thing. Now it's pretty much a 100% lock.

Still, is Christian does get the first title shot after Sunday, looks like we're getting Swagger v. Christian at Wrestlemania, unless they pull some kind of DQ or something Sunday and set up a triple threat with Finlay involved then. Either way, should be a pretty good match.

Btw: Grisham's reaction to Christian's return left a bad taste in my mouth. Dude... do better than that please, cause that was the most pathetic reaction I've heard. Luckily, Striker caught the ball before it hit the ground when he said "This moment has just become instantly Classic!"

From top to bottom I thought this was a great ECW, but mostly for what happened at the top and the bottom.

Christian 'interrupting Swagger's promo' was just a spectacular moment for me. I know I've been watching him in TNA, but it just really felt like Christian was back and it just felt awesome. Regarding the new version of "Just Close Your Eyes" my initial impression is that I liked it better. I like the Waterproof Blonde version, but the thing that always gets me about it when I listen to it as I work out is that it's a little too quiet and takes too long to get going.

I always enjoy Teddy Long standing up to talent that tries to push him around and Jack Swagger should learn quickly after getting booked against Christian.

I think it was Striker than said Dreamer was on a roller coaster, but usually roller coasters go up and down, Tommy's hasn't climbed in what seems like a very long time. He certainly didn't do it tonight with Miz pulling out that devastating new move.

You'd think Jamie Noble would have learned by now to quit making demands of the General Manager. He's just lucky Long doesn't have Big Show or Kane to book him against. I don't know about the name, but I liked Tyson Kidd showing up with Natalya to taunt Noble and make his debut.

I don't think Christian was ready to meet Hornswoggle and Finlay. If I were Christian, I wouldn't worry about facing Hornswoggle's daddy after No Way Out. Not. Gonna. Happen.

I was excited to see the Evan Bourne video! I don't know how soon he'll be back, but with the video it has to be sooner than later! :)

If you believe what you read on the internet, I find it interesting that Harry Smith volunteered to abandon his good friend TJ Wilson, or Tyson Kidd for our purposes now, to join the Legacy and now that gets put on hold and Wilson makes his debut with girlfriend Natalya to back him up. I look forward to seeing more of Kidd, apparently against Noble.

I'm not in favor of Swagger losing twice in a row, but I of course wanted to see Christian win his debut. Swagger was made to look like a kid in over his head again this week, but that should all change on Sunday (or at least it had better).

This is probably the first time in a long time that I payed attention to an ECW show from beginning to end, but it was well worth it.

I was spoiled by my friend on the East Coast who told me Christian was returning tonight, but seeing him return was still a complete joy. His new theme is appropriate considering how WWE has been remixing everyone's theme lately, but I prefer Waterproof Blonde's version.

Poor Dreamer is still jobbing, but since he has until June to win, he'll hopefully pick up some victories, at least some before Wrestlemania.

I'm not too crazy about T.J. Wilson's horrible name change, but he showed a lot of skill in the ring and I guess that's all that matters. Nice to see Natalya again too. Guess she needs a new partner since Victoria's gone.

Main event was the first time I ever cared about a Jack Swagger match, and that was mainly because of Christian. I often forget how great Striker is on commentary, but his exchange with Hornswoggle was hilarious. A great announce team complimented a great show tonight.

Well, putting Christian on the C show makes me think that WWE only got him to hurt TNA. He is not leaving that show.

And I've always suspected that when a woman is off WWE TV for a few weeks, it's because WWE is making them get work done. When has Nattie Neidhart ever shown a midriff?

They probably offered Christian a title run and this is probably the best they could do. He'll probably work his way back to SmackDown.

Well, putting Christian on the C show makes me think that WWE only got him to hurt TNA. He is not leaving that show.I think long-term (or just longer than short-term) this is really going to help Christian. Right before WrestleMania is a tough time to debut, a lot of stuff is more or less set. There is no room on RAW and on SmackDown he would probably be after Edge if he wanted the Title and that would last probably three months tops.

If he had gone to RAW or SmackDown, in a few months he would be like Jericho is right now, a big splash return at the top of the card then some floundering in between because someone else has moved into the spot. In ECW, there is no one to move into the spot, so Christian can drive this brand well into the summer before they eventually "upgrade" him.

From a storyline perspective, I think this explains why Teddy Long was willing to let Matt Hardy go for nothing. He had to free up some "cap room" to bring in Christian!

Evan Bourne is expected to return next month, for those wondering how soon. He is expected to be a big player in the path to Wrestlemania for ECW if the online reports are true.

By the way, Matt Hardy has blogged about this past Tuesday's ECW at WWE Universe.

Good job Teddy Long-I'm glad to see you listened to the smartest man in wrestllng, Matt Hardy. After I correctly called you out for being a bad General Manager, you finally did something right. After I pointed out to the world your managerial flaws and mistakes, you finally took a step in the right direction with ECW this week. My sources told me that the Sci-Fi network was absolutely furious I was no longer the flagship of their primary television show. ECW was in jeopardy of being canceled if Teddy Long didn't attempt to fill the monstrous void I left in the ECW roster. To fill this enormous void, Theodore Long brought in Christian, Tyson Kidd, and has Evan Bourne on the way back. It was a good start to filling my void, although it'll take more than these three to do it. So to all of you who enjoyed ECW this week, you have me to thank me for it.

Speaking of Christian, we have a very long and storied history together. Christian was a recipient of my star-making abilities back in the first ever tag team ladder match. Christian was also smart not to stick his nose into my business with Jeff. I could see how he would be tempted to upon resigning with the WWE, but fortunately he was smarter than that. It's also funny how alot of the "internet journalist" and "internet fans" thought Christian might be somehow associated with me and my master plan. Nope. Never has been. There's never been any changes in my plans, there's never been a "B" plan, and Christian hasn't ever been factored in at any time. If Christian did happen to become ignorant enough to interfere with me and my plans, he might find a "Black Cloud" above his head.

You know, the same kind of "Black Cloud" that took away everything from some "Hooligan" that used to be employed by the WWE. And these are facts-it's someone I got hired after allowing him to have a great match with me on Velocity, and then by going to bat to management for him. It's someone who wrestled his most famous and self-confessed "favorite" WWE match in a contest that I was in and totally engineered and manufactured. And then he became bitter because he attempted to follow in my footsteps, and couldn't measure up as a man in any way-and I mean in any way. Just another example of what happens when you attempt to cross Matt Hardy, I ALWAYS win in the end. Not only am I "The Starmaker", I'm also a "Startaker." Enjoy your pathetic life, you're welcome.

Nope. He means Paul London. London & Kendrick were supposed to be known as the Hooligans, but were never referred to as such on television.
