everyone talks about the spider man villens
but I always like the bat villens better
I like the spider villens but
truth be told alot of the spider villens or rip offs of bat villens
black cat/catwoman green goblin/joker

this is why I think black cat should never be in the movies because thats just saying "we're just ripping off batman"

Like Moon Knight is a ripoff of Batman. In the way that he's not, not really. They're both grinning ghouls, I guess, but the Green Goblin has a different theme, a different background and a uniquely different way of getting around in his Goblin Glider that sets him apart. He's more of a science gimmick character than the Joker is.

Black Cat appears to be one you can make a slightly better argument for as a ripoff, but you've got to remember that she wore the black skintight costume first, Catwoman was mostly in purple, dresses and outlandish costumes with a tail before Frank Miller's Year One series. Also, Black Cat has a "bad luck" theme that is very different than Catwoman.

I think the Bat villains are definitely the more influential icons, though. Spidey's freaks and weirdos are interesting, but most of them don't have that air of chaotic, malevolent evil that the people Batman fights have or have developed over the years. Except for Venom, but he really tries so hard to be chaotic, malevolent evil that it just falls a little flat and Marvel tried so hard to make him an anti-hero in his Lethal Protector era that they seriously undermined his menace.

Otherwise, Spider-Man spends a lot of time fighting average Joe idiots, thugs and mercenaries like The Rhino, Electro, Beetle, Sandman, The Eel and the Shocker. His other main foes are gangsters like the Kingpin, Hammerhead and Silvermane and mad scientists like The Vulture, Doc Ock and Green Goblin. They tend to have an element of the grotesque to them that I like, but their menance is not as prononounced and pure as that of the Bat foes.

batman's villens also tend to steal the show
the differences between the
the batman and spider man movies is that spider man actually stars in his movies

mr. kids rabbit sir...Its Spelled Villians not Villens:sweat:

But back on topic I think the Spiderman Villians our stronger but the batman villians our more Phsycotic so it would probably end in a tie if they fought!:D

Uh, I think it's actually spelled "villains." I think psychosis goes a long way when it's coupled with smarts. With a little planning the Joker could probably murder all of Spidey's "average Joe" villains by himself with traps and poison, simply because they're mostly deeply stupid. He'd have a fairer fight with Osborn and Ock, though, and with Kingpin.

Honestly? Something about Joker really gets on my nerves. Maybe it's the laugh...maybe it's the fact that he lives for shock value. The endless Joker hype surrounding the Dark Knight movie didn't help things either.

And yet I'm okay with Green Goblin. Just as overused, yet I'm still interested in seeing where the Norman plots are headed.
