How not to hide money

Ok so one of my freinds gets this fax from Nigeria National Petroleum Corp they wanted his defuncted company to become parners with them and setup a joint account where they will deposit $28 Million US and he can keep 20% of that. Natch he didn't take them up on their offer since they are complete amateurs in the fax. They came right out and said the money is from them deliberately jacking up the estimate on a pipe line.

* Rule one of tring to get people to hide money - Don't tell them where it really came from.

He didn't want to since he knew if he did, that fax was proof that he knew where the money came from and he couldn't play dumb.

He contacted the RCMP but they said they don't handle orginaized crime on the weekends and call back monday.

I don't know what's funnier...
The fact that they actually told him they were doing something illegal, or that when he called the cops they told him that they wouldn't do anything about it over a weekend.
I need to move to Canada.

I got the SAME exact e-mail some time ago. And you know what I said in my e-mail to them?

"I'm flattered you considered me, but I regret to inform you I cannot make a partnership at this time due to more pressing concerns.

...that, and I'm a 16 year old kid. ;) "

I suppose they're still looking for someone even after me and Psycho's friend...will they ever learn who could be viable business partners? :D

People actully fall for that? man even if I accepted to hide the money I would set up a dummy bank account for it. I didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to use their current bank account for it. That is increadibly stupid
