Pokemon Movie 11 Airdate

According to Serebii.net (http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml), the 11th Pokemon movie, Giratina & The Sky Warrior, will be airing on Cartoon Network on Sunday 15th February at 7pm.

Well the DVD isn't supposed to come out until March 31, but I think of it as a way to promote Platinum a month or so before it American release date. Also I still find it interesting that the Movie is airing on CN the day after Toys R Us week long Shaymin event.

It doesn't seem too late to me. We didn't even know when the DVD was coming out until this weekend and most Pokemon forums I go to had already heard of when CN would be airing the movie on the same day. Besides, I'm sure that they'll air promos for the movie and the marathon the following day fairly soon. I could see them doing so sometime this weekend.

I could see it as a way to get people geared up to buy Platinum. I actually didn't think of how it airs the day after the end of the Shaymin event. That probably helps to tie both the movie airing and the event together.

I'm pretty sure that the tenth movie also aired on a Sunday. It will probably do better in ratings airing on a Sunday than it most likely would on a Saturday night. I'm not sure if a Pokemon movie would work for Action Flicks. While the Pokemon movies usually have more action than some of the episodes, I don't think that it really fits in with the mature kind of vibe that most of the Action Flicks movies have. Besides that, I think Flicks needs really good movie to air right about now.

I'm pretty sure that you don't need to get the National Dex in the game in order to get Shaymin and Regigigas. I've heard that their numbers in the Pokedex will be question marks without the National Dex, but I don't think that it would be issue not to have completed the games before getting them.

I can confirm this. In one playthrough of my Pearl I transfer an Elekid and Magby egg to the game, when they hatched and evolved into Electabuzz and Magmar respectively, their Numbers didn't appear, instead where the Pokedex number would be I got "???" instead. I even attended a few Pokemon Events with that copy when I had less than 8 badges, Like Darkrai. All you need to do is make sure that you have a Pokedex, and Mystery Gift enabled.

Well I'll catch it to see if its any good. I saw the screen caps for it and am confused by what I saw. So hopefully seeing it will make more sense of things for me.

I've been waiting for the movie to come for a while. For some reason though, I haven't seen any commercials for it yet but I guess that they'll start showing some soon enough. :shrug:

Well, I think CN usually waits until the week before a movie premiers before airing a lot of promos. That's usually what they do with their movies for Action Flicks and Flicks. I think that they also did that last year with the tenth movie. I'm sure that either on Saturday or Sunday, they'll start airing some commercials for it.

Well, those 2 blocks are weekly but I see your point. Seeing that Movie 10 gave them good ratings, I could see why they would advertise the same way.
