You know, its come to my attention that no one ever seems to talk about the great show Duck Dodgers that ran on CN from 2003 to 2005, so I figured I'd open up a thread to discuss this great show!

It starred Daffy Duck as the hapless Duck Dodgers, a poor soul who was accidentally for over 300 years, and revived in the 24th and a Half century as a member of the Galactic Protectorate.

The series also starred Marvin the Martian and Porky Pig, as Dodgers archenemy Commander X-2, and his ever faithful assistant, the Eager Young Space Cadet.

I can't believe this series is hardly ever mentioned on these boards! It was a great show! Up there with the likes of Freakazoid! and Pinky and the Brain. If the series were released on DVD, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

The show was witty, well writen, the animation was beautiful, and most of all, it had heart! I can't believe CN cancelled it! Shame on them! They could of really had something!

Oh well, that's enough from me! Let's discuss this wonderful series!

1. good as Freakazoid..NO WAY!!!:D

2, but yes it was good, & you can catch reruns on Boomerang, along with reruns of PPG, Dexter, Johhny Bravo, JLU, the batman, and Teen titans starting in Feb.:p

3. Watch Boomerang,:D the best sister network CN could possibly have,,,If it would get rid of those cruddy hanna-barbaera shorts & air loony tunes instead that is!

4. Marvin Roxs!

5. I too hope for a DVD releas,e who knows mabye it'll happen soon! mabye, Hopefully,

6.This should be in retro toons since this show isn't on CN anymore!:p

Duck Dodgers can currently be seen (in reruns) on Boomerang.

Dodgers was an OK show, but not a great show, IMHO. There were some funny moments, but overall, DD didn't come close to Animaniacs or Frekazoid! in terms of comedy or writing.

The coolest thing about Duck Dodgers was probably the music. I liked the shows' opening theme song, which was sung by Tom Jones, as well as the "Space Angel" song that was sang in the short "They Craved Dodgers' Brain!".

I thought the show was okay but I didn't really like it. I only saw a couple episodes of the series. Its better than some other cartoon network shows though.

Gotta say I loved this one. Something in it appealed to me.

It was a pretty good cartoon as far as today's standards are concerned...

I only saw one episode. It wasn't funny, and the original Looney Tunes set the standards pretty high

While one episode is generally enough to make an opinion on a show there is always the chance that you caught a weaker episode.

Anyway I liked the show, season three was not that good though.

You could tell Paul Dini had a hand in this one, due to the art style as well as all the Tex Avery-like females.
