View Full Version : Bambi 2 and Dumbo 2 to be CG? The horror...

As if Disney sequel news couldn't possibly get worse, it's gets terrible! According to the awesome site www.animated-movies.com, it looks like on of these sequels will be getting the CG treatment. According to a source at the site: "yes, Bambi 2 is in development, and this one along with the Dumbo sequel are the ones being consider for the CG treatment."

The site goes on to say: "The sketches you've seen are conceptual art and storyboards, which are the same ones that showed up on the trailer. Disney TVA is still working on the story for this one, in fact the original director got recently fired. There is a famous computer animation related house doing top secret animation tests for this one as we speak (and not is not Pixar, PDI or BlueSky, but it's still famous). They might change their minds after the tests (hopefully)."

Anyone else feel sick?

Bambi and Dumbo CGI. Suddenly the thought of the CGI GI Joe movie being shot down just became even more painful to think about. :(

CG? That's terrible! If they have to make sequels can't they at least make them look that same as the originals!!?? I just don't see this working...not that most of Disney's sequels work for me anyway... :(

Well, come to think of it, if they made Bambi 2 as realistic as possible, I'd be impressed. But I still wouldn't go watch it.

all right......I'm getting tired of this...anybody got Disney's email address? I feel the need to complain..this is the last straw.....first Pan..then 'rella.....and now BAMBI...IN CG no less.

and I'm gonna try and email them, because I don't wanna waste 34 cents on them.. :p :D

Why not make THEM pay to hear you instead? Simply call their customer relations line at 1-800-723-4763. They will be billed for your call, so why not!

I hadn't heard of this either... and I'm sure the indignant squawking over it would have been pretty loud, too.

Love or hate Disney, they were one of the last main proponents of 2D animation, and now it looks like they're switching over too... damn.

I mean, nobody asked for this!

Not a gaht damn person was sitting around going, "You know what needs a sequel? Dumbo, Bambi and Cinderalla!"

"Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing!"

Whoever said it above, yeah.... and G.I. Joe gets shot down for a CGI comeback.

Is it confirmed to be 3-d, or just 2-d CGI? The background of that page loads (the clovers) but it just stops after that.
