Looks like Comedy Central is gonna have huge holes in their lineup. They air SNL repeats about 5 times a day.

Well, maybe Comedy Central will get something good to put in there. They repeated the newer ones way too much, and I can't stand the ones with the most recent cast, so maybe this is a good thing. And if I ever want to watch some of the better eps from the early 90s cast, I get E! too, so I guess I now have a reason to watch that wonderful channel.

I hope E shows more of the really old ones. I'd like to see more of the sketches that Jim Henson did for the show in its earlier years.

If Comedy Central had given us a good variety of repeats, from the classics from the beginning til now, I would care, but they really have screwed us SNL fans over by limiting the reruns they air.

This means Comedy Central will likely show even more crap than they show now. Oh well, it's not like the SNL episodes they show now were good anyway. Its like replacing Scooby Doo with DBZ, I don't really care.

They should bring back Upright Citizens Brigade.

Cool! Maybe now I'll be able to see a pre-1980 episode of SNL! :D

Upright Citizens Brigade and Strangers with candy, i found both shows offensive and not remotely funny (this is coming from a south park fan).

The SNL reruns sucked anyway, they only showed the ones with the new cast, they didn't show the classic ones anymore, they didn't even show the ones with the early 90s cast (adam sandler, dana carvey, david spade). To be honest I rarely watch Comedy Central anymore anyway, they rarely show good movies, their series all suck(even south park now). The only thing I watch is the Daily Show and I think I read somwhere that Jon Stewart may be going the way of Craig Kilborne. CC has been managed really poorly recently, who's running it now anyway, Jamie Kellner?

LOL.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

If some of those blocks opened up by SNL being gone get filled with an animation block that used to be on Sunday night, then this would be very good.

Of course, it will be a while yet before we see anything...I think 2003 or 2004.

Comedy Central sucks anyways. South Park got old real fast, and most of the shows the've got (Including Strangers With Candy, The Man Show, and Upright Citizens Bregade) are retarted beyond belife. I'm sorry, but I never saw the appeal of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Jon's too much of A nice guy for my taste. I'll take Dennis Miller over Jon Stewart any day of the week. SNL would've been the only show worth watching on Comedy Central in my opinion. The British version of "Who's Line Is It Anyway" isn't too bad though.

I only watch CC for Whose Line is it anyway, (very funny show, It's better and funnier than Drew Carey's Version. Beat the Geeks (it grew on me) and Battlebots (An ideal kids show, because it can promote education and violence at the same time) and the occasional comedy

i never was a SNL fan, I saw it a few times (My fav comedics, Dana carvey, Dennis Miller, and Chris Rock came from there)

So I'm not missing much.

here is a concept, air either premire Comedy Specials (They used to show comedy performaces by comedics like Dana Carvey, Robin Williams) or more shows like comedy central presents or premium blend and show some up and comers

Put the Comedy back in Comedy Central.

They have a replacement now... Conan. One story I had seen is below. I also saw elsewhere that it would also be on mid-morning. Anyway, now maybe SportsNight can get a better time slot.

EARLY EVENING WITH CONAN O'BRIEN
Today's Headlines
Late Night With Conan O'Brien will become the latest NBC program to be "repurposed" on a cable channel. The network announced Wednesday that the show will be rebroadcast each day on the Comedy Central channel beginning Sept. 3 at either 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. The network has a similar deal with E! Entertainment channel for Last Call With Carson Daly.

Comedy Central very rarely showed anything but the 1990-present seasons. So I could care less. E! obviously realized that most of the fanbase for that show was for the original cast because those were simply classic episodes. Now what really needs to be wondered is, are they going to be 90 minutes or condensed 60 minutes. That was my biggest gripes with CC because they didn't show sketches that I specifically remember from shows, and that sucked.

From the comercials it looks like they'll start from the very begining.

Man they will show more Man Show or South Park. They seem to be running those shows all the time now.

I always liked the "Upright Citizen's Birgade". They always seemed to have a "Monty Python"-esque feel to them. I also agree that they should fill up the slot with cartoons. I wouldn't mind seeing "Duckman" and "The Critic" four times a day. If they want something "new" (besides Conan), here is what I suggest: bring in "Invader Zim" and "Ranma 1/2". I know that by now pretty much everyone is rolling their eys in disgust, and I know that this idea has been brought up in the Toonami and Adult Swim boards, but hear me out.

"Invader Zim" would be a perfect fit for the network in general. I know full well that it was cancelled and that there is a snowball's chance in Hell of getting it back, but why not have it go out in style on Ceomedy Central, instead of dying slowly on Nick? Viacom does own half of Comedy Central, after all. Besides, I bet they wouldn't have to worry about censoring their episodes so a handfull of PC parents won't be offended. It took us, what, six months to see "Door to Door" and "FBI Warning of Doom"? In my perfect schedule, Zim would be in the "South Park" spot on Wednesday and "The Man Show" would be on five days a week, with new ones airing of Fridays.

"Ranma 1/2" is also a great fit on that network. Not only is it risque at times (something that CC seems to like), it's a long running series and has already been dubbed. I know about the content controversy, and changes would have to be made, but I don't think that they would be as drastic as it would be on Cartoon Network. If they allow plotlines about aborted fetuses and and sexually moesting chickens on "South Park", they would allow most of Ranma's stuff. It doesn't seem that Comedy Central even has a problem with fanservice. After all, isn't "The Man Show" at it's core just 22 minutes of fanservice anyways? I'm not saying that they should have the bare breasts entirely, but I'd bet that they would be more lenient. They could run a campiagn calling it "The Japanese import that's too risque for Cartoon Network". I know it's a long shot, but one can dream, can't I?
