I like the concept of Dark Reign, super villains being in a position of power and the heroes on the run, but the execution has left me cold. Seriously the way Norman gained his position made no sense, what so ever, its like everyone in the Marvel universe is a drooling moron. Anyone agree or disagree?

Well Norman gained power through a massive disaster the shook the world. People would've been scared, lost faith in an already shaky system, and they wanted some reassurance that things would get better. He having taken out the Skrull leader made him the saviour of the world to the people.
It's not that unrealistic that someone with a shady background managing to get into a position of power through a terrible event. It has happened before in real life.

Its unrealistic that known a murderer gets this kind of power, it would be like OJ Simpson killing Osama bin Laden on national TV and getting a major federal position, it doesn't work like that.

If he had the chance to kill Osama, he would most likely become a hero and everything else would be forgiven, that's what more or less has happened to Osborn (that and he had an insanity excuse)
...and yes, nearly everyone in the MU ARE drooling morons just read Civil War, there's a lot of good examples there
