Flash could maybe vibrate his hand through him and yank some important body part out, if you want to get gory. Spectre could beat him by sending him to Hell...course he basically is there, Zatanna maybe if she said "Eid Dieskrad" lol. Lantern can do anything with his ring, have some faith. If its one on one, a lot of people might be able to figure it out. Batman even, although mortal, he could find some weakness. Wonder Woman is a immortal warrior princess, and if Captain Marvel pulls his lightning stunt he pulled in Kingdom Come, he MIGHT have a chance. There are tons of possibilities. Deadman perhaps also? I could go on all day.

Doomsday ripped Darkseid apart

Wonder Woman might be able to do it as long as she avoids the omega beams

Captain Marvel can also probably defeat him since he is almost on Supermans level

In Superman :Hunter/Prey Supes went after Doomsday who had been tossed into space during The Reign Of The Supermen storyline by the Cyborg Superman. Doomsday ends up landing on Apocalpse and decimates Darkseids forces. Finally Darkseid (who rarely envolves himself in direct conflict as alot of people know) fires his Omega Beams which never miss and strikes Doomsday. Going down to examine what should be a dead body Darkseid is surprised that Doomsday has withstood his omega beams and is still very active and alive. Doomsday then proceeds to beat the crap out of Darkseid and he would have died if Superman had not used a Motherbox to help him heal.

Darkseid has the Omega Beams, but what exactly makes Highfather so powerful?

I remember that storyline where Doomsday wipes the floor with Darkseid. I was very surprised when I first read about it.

The Atom beat Darkseid in JLA. Anybody has the potential to beat Darkseid, they just need to plan ahead (and be prepared to lose a lot of people doing it!).

HOW did Doomsday just ignore the OMEGA EFFECT? and then go on to PHYSICALLY beat darkseid down? Darkseid is as strong as Superman, if not stronger, so how did he do it?

Ok, I'm not that knowledgeable about the comics, but from what I've been told about Doomsday he can only be killed a specific way once, then he'll just resurrect himself and you'll have to kill him again, in a different way. So if Darksied used the Omega beams to kill Doomsday once he'd have to do something else in round two, mainly get physical.

Well if you want to talk animated we know Superman can beat Darkseid, but that's only because he was going all out. Now I wonder if Superman would actually have a slightly easier time against Darkseid in JL? For one I do think Supes is stronger do to a longer exposure to the Sun. Second, given their history their history he probably wouldn't hold back from the get go. And third I believe that for the animated universe (like they've depowered Superman) they've depowered Darkseid to the point where he's at Superman's level and as such I don't think the Omega beams could kill Superman. Sure they give Superman a lot of pain but kill him? No.

Season 2 is going to be very interesting. :)

What about The Powerpuff Girls? I know this sounds silly, but if Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were up against The Lord Of Apocalypes, there would be a shooting match between the girls X-Ray eyes, and Darkseis's Omaga Blasts. Of course, the girls would have to move fast, and stay out of range so that they don't get hit. I can just see Mojo Jojo asking a favor from Darkseid.

Someone already mentioned it, but In Rock of Ages, Darkseid was beaten by Atom and Green Arrow, of all people. But the question posed was one on one. Hmmm. Besides who has been mentioned, there is a cool Galactus vs. Darkseid story that John Byrne did. Silver Surfer goes up against Darkseid's forces and does OK. Near the end, Darkseid blasts him and really puts a hurting on him but doesn't kill him. He tried the Omega Beam thing on Galactus, to no effect. It was all pretty cool.
