I've said it once. I've said it twice. But, Russell Crowe would make the best Batman for the next movie. Barring it is not Batman:Year one. Everytime I watch Gladiator and see his brooding personality. I can so see him as the Bat.

I really like Kurt Angle as Bruce Wayne. He's got the look and he's an Olympic Hero. He's got a perfect build for the part and he pratices the three I's. Only Michael Keaton could be a better Batman.

--someone here suggested David Boreanz (Angel) as the new Bat once. But then the guy might get typecast as dark and brooding and perpetually in black....

I've heard he can be a pain in the butt to work with, but I'd like to see the return of Val Kilmer as Michael Keaton is kind of getting up there in age.

What are you smoking?
And I suppose we want Stone Cold as Joker? Lita as Catwoman? Big Show as Bane? C'mon, Kurt Angle? He would be an absolutley horrid Batman. Dude- Kurt Angle? I'm sorry, I'll listen to most suggestions, but that's a little...
Actually, I'm just venting. LONG day.
I agree about Russel Crowe. He'd be a better Batman that Bruce, but he'd be superb with the cape and cowl on.

Since it will be Year One, Crowe is out. Has to be someone young, unknown, and most importantly, talented.

I don't know what you're talking about Big Show and Litta. Look at Kurt Angle then find a picture of Bruce Wayne. He fits the mold. He's an Olympic Hero. He came back from a broken neck, kind of like Batman. Maybe Kurt Angle is already Batman?

Michael T. Weis (The Pretender). He’s a great actor and He’d be perfect as both Bruce and Bats.

Whoever said Val Kilmer wasn't a pain to work with? Kilmer, as good looking and as good an actor as he is, is a little pain in the butt himself. Everyone who worked with him on Batman Forever said he was a major snob and a pain to work with. The guy who plays Angel could do well perhaps as a younger Batman. You never know if someone's got the look till they're in cape and cowl, at least I think so. I mean, some actor you may not think would do well as Batman maybe just totally have the perfect look for it once suited up.

Kurt Angle looks nothing like Bruce Wayne. Who do I think? Eh, I say stick with an unknown. You've got the best shot to find a kid who looks just like Bruce, has a dark demeanor, is a good actor, and obvoiusly won't cost too much.

George Clooney, IMHO, looked nothing like a Bruce Wayne should look. But then, in today's Hollywood, it's hard to find a realistic Bruce Wayne at all. (Those who do look like a good Bruce Wayne usually blow it in the character department. Pretty much because they have hired somebody to think for them for so long, they don't know how to act like they think.)
Still, I have here a list of the few, the proud, and the greatest that just might be able to make it:
1: Harrison Ford. (Okay, so he's getting old. Still, he'd probably be good on the Batwhip!)
2: Tom Cruise. (Making the transition from Ethan Hunt to Bruce Wayne shouldn't be hard.)
3: Hugh Grant. (Seems like a movie just can't get off the ground these days without Hugh.)
4: Arnold Schwartzenegger. (Who knows? Maybe they could dub him like they did in Hercules in New York. Plus, we could always get Sinbad to play The Penguin....)
5: John Stamos. (Something tells me that he'd probably be a good actor if he didn't have Bob Saget supporting him.)
Well, that's my two cents. Any other suggestions?

I can see David Boreanz as Batman from the year one perspective. I never watched Angel. But, I saw him in Valentine and he has got the build and brooding quality you need for Bats.

I second that (or third it -I know he's been mentioned before). He's got grim and grumpy down pat, plus he's not bad in a fight scene, and that voice - low and very dangerous when he wants. Excellent choice.
