I'm not sure if there is a thread for this, but anyway...

Back in 2005, Britain's Channel 4 compiled a list of the 100 Greatest Cartoons, as voted for by the British public. Despite the criminal non-presence of Batman: The Animated Series or any DC show, one from Marvel turned up - don't get your hopes up, as the title says, it was the 60s Spider-Man show.

The guys who were talking about it mostly just complained about it, saying things like "They look like they spent a quid on it" and "It sucks compared to the Spider-Man films", with the only compliment being given in passing to the legendary theme song. Seems odd for a show that clearly states its about the 100 Greatest Cartoons, but, oh well...

And for those wondering, the only episode clip they showed was from the first episode. The rest of it was the title sequence.

Well the list was mainly a cover, and the voting very much rigged, to promote the fact that the channel had got the Simpsons away from the BBC. So any guesses what No.1 was?

It wasn't a good show considering the random chooses and the talking sections seemed to be dependent on whether or not they could find anyone to talk about the show. Not caring if they had positive or negative things to say.

Ugh, I remember that programme. My family and I kept expecting B:TAS to show up, but the selections were dire (and heavily biased). What an awful programme. I was surprised when Samurai Jack popped up during the show, though.

You should never look to these awful 'talking heads' shows for anything insightful, fair, balanced or accurate. The people who cobble them together wouldn't know a good cartoon from a bad one!

Also, they seem to be skewed towards the mid-30s nostalgia crowd. I'm not terribly surprised that B:TAS didn't get a look-in
