This is the talkback thread for "Madagascar 3" Aims for Summer 2012 (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=27960).

This is no surprise considering how well the movie is doing domestically and internationally. I wonder if we'll get five more movies out of this.;)

I don’t even remember the first movie, but I really liked the second one and I’m hoping that the third one will build upon its success. It’s unfortunate that Bernie Mac is no longer with us, as he really shined as Zuba.

Its fallowing in the footsteps of Shrek. Well I haven't seen the second Madagascar so I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

A third one already? Hope this isn't another "Shrek" happening...

I really don't mind talking animal movies as long as they're of good quality and the 1st Madagascar made me laugh, but haven't seen the 2nd one and DreamWorks Animation does get tons of backlash for the content their flicks contain, so I'm not sure whether a 3rd installment of Madagascar is a good idea or not.

I really thought some of their films served as good popcorn entertainment, but I think DreamWorks Animation should start experimenting with other genres this time if they want their films to get the same strong positive reception Pixar's stuff gets, like they're doing now with MvA and Master Mind.

A third one? Come on... I've seen some Penguin shorts so I can see it's cute but c'mon, a third Madagascar?

I thought it was lame that they did that, just to drag it out. I swear, if the animals don't make it back this time, they're just desperate.

At least Katzenberg said it would be the last one...

...until MADAGASCAR: THE BEGINNING debuts!

Sorry to disappointed you, but a Fouth Shrek in work. Don't understand why most people hated Shrek sequels.

Agreed. I'd much prefer a fourth Shrek than a third Madagascar, honestly.

Seriously guys, stop crying foul and watch the second film before you go gloom and doom.

The second film is as good as the first one, and a nice change of pace story-wise. Plus it gave more camera time to the penguins and Julien, which were the strongpoints of the first film.

Three movies is more than enough, and I'm sure it will end in a more satisfactory fashion than the Shrek films.
