Is CN planning to repeat that episode of Toonheads? I would think that if they got by showing it once, they could show it again. They can air it late at night. I think that it was a waste of money to produce that episode if they were only going to air it once.

I sure hope so, since I *sob* didn't tape it the first time. :(
They don't show enough Toonheads, though -- remember when they used to make a weekend of it, with two or three eps. a week?
And whatever happened to "12 Missing Hares," anyway? :(

If either of you want a copy of the "Toonheads" wartime special, private message me and I'll be glad to make a copy for you for trade...

So far, there hasn't been any news regarding "TWELVE MISSING HARES" special, but one can only hope that CN will present the special during this years June Bugs 2002 marathon.Since that network still owes us from last year's mess.

You've got that right, Nelson. CN, please do not disappoint your classic animation fans this year.

Speaking of Toonheads,it's pretty messed up in UK. They keep airing episodes all out of order and over the past 3 months,I've never seen any 1 hour specials. They change the cartoons in the episodes, and cut out the Toonheads Trivia.
Sometimes the messing up can do good- there was that infamous UK incident recently where instead of getting 'Midnight In The Bookstore' we got 'Southern Fried Toons' with Confedrate Honey (edited).Southern Fried Rabbit and Mississippi Hare!
Today, instead of 'The Early Works Of Chuck Jones' we got 3 of Daffy' hero spoofs from the 50s.

I think Jerry Beck told me that they'd shelved the "12 Missing hares" for now. It may air this year, though, but somehow I doubt it.

Ah, CN doesn't have the guts to show it. They're a bunch of sissies, cowards, and politically correct freaks. There, I said it, and I'm glad I did. :p Well okay, not all of them. There are a few that I like... (mainly Jerry Beck! :D)
But won't it be Censored 10 this year? They've been playing "Frigid Hare" frequently, so I think they'll be able to show this classic.

The only way Cartoon Network can make up for last year's incident is to show every Bugs Bunny cartoon ever made. The "Twelve Missing Hares" special wouldn't cut it. I don't even expect to see that.
I also don't expect to ever see the Toonheads Wartime Cartoons special ever again.
BillyH, some of the one-hour episodes aren't "specials" around here.

Ah,sorry about that. What I meant to say is that CNUK doesn't show any 1 hour Toonheads.

i think mr. beck could get it shown. the less the publicity, the greater the chances. i'm sure he'd alert us.

I think airing the Wartime Cartoons Special again would make it seem less "special", but if you've never seen it before, I see your point.

I hate to tell you this, Rodney, but the Wartime special was nothing but a total imbalance of Wartime cartoons.
All the films were parodying the German side, none came from the Japanese side. I was hoping that "Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips" would make it, but that was not the case. During the airing of the special, Blitz Wolf had a sign "No Japs Allowed" which was digitally covered, but the original ending was left in tact. Still, that gave the imbalance away right there.
Many people said this was a great treat, but considering I saw two of the four cartoons before (Russian Rhapsody and Herr Meets Hare), the special was not as good as I thought it would be because no Japanese references were used.
If CN can ever get its act together, maybe they can consider a second Wartime special which deals with four cartoons from the Japanese side, such as Nips and Scrap The Japs (Popeye). I don't think Daffy The Commando will cut it this time.

It is a disapointing set, I think. As usual, as PC as possible with this sort of material.
For those searching, Scrap Happy Daffy used to show up on public domain tapes several years ago.
