I just heard on my local Fox news station that Fox was in negotiations with Tom Green for a late night talk show. I am confident that will not happen (heck, did his series with Tony Hawk ever come to being?) but why would he even be considered?????

Actually, they are seriously considering it. They want to get into the latenight game, but not go out with a big name personality. They probably won't target the same viewers. Other people in negotiations are Orlando Jones and D.L. Hughley, among others.

Maybe if Tom Green stopped some of the stupid stuff that ruined Freddy Got Fingered and fined tuned his man on the street segments (which I feel most of them were brilliant on his TV show) and worked on his interview skills, maybe he could pull off his own talk show, but I would hate to see him rehash what he did on MTV.

And his MTV stuff was poor in compariosn to his original Canadian TOM GREEN show, which I thogth was good before MTV ruined it Anyways, what's this about him and Tony Hawk doing a show togethor?

The late night business is risky for FOX. They even ruined sure shots like The Chevy Chase Show and The Martin Short Show -- in record time! I wonder if they will ever get a late night program right. Well, we'll fin dout soon enough.

Well, we'll fin dout soon enough. That was the curse of The Tom Green Show. When it initially started playing on MTV, they had years of back Canadian segments to choose from, and we saw the best of the best. Toward the end, he was pressed for material and it showed. The testicle cancer really slowed things down, and his core audience didn't receive much closure before he suddenly decided to wander off into film.

I'm confident a Tom Green talk show on Fox would be a huge mistake. But that whole network is a huge mistake. Burn, baby, burn.

I loved the Tom Green show on MTV. I thought it was great; the Cancer Special was actually kind of poignant. Everything about Tom Green is hilarious, he's just one of my favorite comedians.

Late night talk show, though, seems a bit too much. He was doing fine with his own show on MTV.

Rumor has it Letterman will go to ABC. That wouldn't be good for CBS. Either his fans will turn to ABC or they will be looking somewhere else, could be FOX.

Geez, if Letterman bolts for ABC I doubt CBS will recover. They had nothing before Letterman came there except reruns of In the Heat of the Night and other crappy shows. And I really don't want to see Letterman go to ABC because the ABC affiliate blows chunks in Kansas City and shows syndicated reruns after the news til about 12:30, when they then show Politically Incorrect. If Letterman goes to ABC, I will never get to see him on ABC because they feel re-runs of Roseanne, Married with Children, and Seinfeld are more important than what ABC SHOULD be showing at that time.

Calhoun: All those re-runs on ABC you get, I get on FOX. Odd.

Heh my Fox Affilate already played this Late Night game once with Magic Johnson which sucked and then shortly after Keenan Ivory Wayans ..His show was actually good and it got canceled due to well the fact that no matter jow funny Keenan is he can't compete with Jay Leno or Conan O' Brian.

(His show began i the middle of Leno and ended mid Conan.)

This is a disaster waiting to happy.
