They aired a Saturday night anime bump right before RC and they said something like "We are making your life right every Saturday night.." or something like that, kinda cool....

It would make sense if they ran that ad at times other than Saturday night. Hell, it would be nice if they promoted the whole Saturday night schedule at all. But they don't, and then they wonder why the ratings stink, no matter what's in those time slots.

It's sad that anime can't air at an earlier time. Hell, Bleach got higher ratings then Robot Chicken. That's kinda what makes me mad is that it isn't airing earlier.

I'm sure they will be switching timeslots around soon enough though. They always move shows around, especially anime (but usually the moves for anime are later times LOL).

I watched this ad for anime last saturday, dang the guy who does the voice for the ad is really funny when he says:
"Your favorite anime, from 1-5 AM, only on saturday night, seriously, only on that day at those times"

Ive seen this bump/promo a few times and they have done other ones over the past few months. I find it refreshing that they are advertising anime even a little bit and hopefully they gain some new imports and the ratings begin to increase.

I like it its kinda like the old Toonami bumps..man I wonder if this means anime will eventually get decent time slots like 10-2 instead of 1-5 I think that sounds fair!:D

I still wish the anime started at like 12 or 11.

LOL yet the ad starts off with "Stop crying" and seems to tease about how anime is only airing for a small amount of time on only one day. I'm surprised I'm not reading more complaints about that. IMHO this ad only looks respectful. But that's just me stating what I see.

If anime started at 11 on Saturday nights like it used to I dont see what the big deal would be, it would give the shows a chance to shine at an earlier time and maybe rake in some decent ratings and then AS could go from there. I miss the presence of anime on american television, its not what it used to be and it seems as if little by little it's fading away. Im not going to complain because at least we get some anime and it looks as if AS is at least making an effort to alert fans of it's anime schedule.

Yes..for example it you live in texas and travel to New mexico Everything would be an hour behind Texas time..If you went to Louisianna everything would be an hour ahead so if you usualy fall asleep around 12:30 in Texas you would fall asleep at 11:30 in New mexico & 1:30 in Lousianna. Understand now!? :p :D

Is the bump on the net? I still haven't seen it on Adult Swim itself.

does teevo count as a rating?
also
i like it when its late, late night anime runs are better, because usually if ur 18 to 22 u dont go to sleep at 11, so when ur staying up u can watch anime!

I don't really know what counts as far as ratings go, I know you need a Neilson chip but I dont know what boxes have them and what dont. I heard someone say that as long as you have a cable box and or satellite reciever that it would count towards ratings.

No! Texas & Louisiana are both on Central Time & New Mexico is on Mountain Time. If you went to New Mexico, you'd go to bed @11:30 PM, but then if you went to Louisiana, you'd be back on Texas time - 12:30 AM! :raven:

It's [adult swim]... especially if they run it on other days besides Saturdays, they're going to put snark in it. BTW, if you want to download & watch the promo, go to www.asfdotcom.net (http://www.asfdotcom.net). If you don't want to use or don't have QuickTime, here's the link on Photobucket (http://s47.photobucket.com/flash/player.swf?file=http://vid47.photobucket.com/albums/f179/numymufn/AV/StopCryinganimepromo0812.flv).
