I just found this neat website.

The Animal Transformation Archive (http://ata.feathers.net/index.html) features fanfics and fanart about people turning into animals. There is even a section in the fanart where Ash, Misty and Brock are featured as Anthromorphic Pokemon. Just looking at the Racoon section is giving me ideas for a New Cartoon Series.
