All this TDI bashing is making me a sad panda.
This SHOW is making me a sad panda. TV...off! But thank you, CN, for a wonderful New Years' Day!

I do hope this marathon will hold its own, especially during the 7 pm hour.
What were Nick and Disney showing all day?
Disney is airing a Wizards of Waverly Place marathon, while Nick is showing their regular schedule, complete with Nick Jr. (which should help CN in the morning).

And then therewill be even more whining.
On Looney Toons is one of the greatest animated shows ever, no one of the greatest shows ever. TDI is nothing compared to it, and is not suppose to be. It's a different beast with different standards made in a different time.
I have no ptoblems with people hating the show but come on don't start bashing it for no other reason then looney Toons being over. That's just dumb.

And that's all folks.
This was something absolutely magical and fun. I cannot remember the last time I have enjoyed anything on television as much as I did today. For 14 hours the Looney Tunes were back in their rightful place - not on expensive DVDs, but on television for all to see. And yes, maybe they were rough-looking compared to the DVDs and maybe the edits were a little heavy at times, but that is just a small sacrifice if it meant seeing them broadcast.
Hopefully this is the start of something big, but that's a worry for another day.
To all the staff at Cartoon Network, you did a great job today. This is something to be proud of.
THANK YOU!

Well, I am SO glad CN did this. EXTREMELY glad.
I never thought they would actually do this. I mean they could've done something boring, like a Chowder, Flapjack, TDI, and 6teen Marathon.
But no, CN is smart. They decided to open up the vaults and let us enjoy 14 full hours of Looney Toons after so many years. What a hell of a way to start 2009.

Assuming things aren't delayed, the Total Day ratings should be up by Monday. We won't know how Looney Tunes did individually unless CN releases a press release or it makes the kids charts/Top 25 Cable Shows for the Week.

And so the Looney Tunes Marathon concludes. Cartoon Network, thank you so much for showing Looney Tunes again! This has to be one of the best New Years day I've ever had! Seriously, you did a great job with this CN, and the short selections for the marathon did not disappoint. I hope this marathon brought in some big ratings so that Looney Tunes will continue to be shown on the network.

Okay, I learned a few things after the marathon: 1. Looney Tunes is awesome. 2. Bugs Bunny is an ass (but in a good way).
I hope that Disney and Nickelodeon didn't do so good with there marathons, (was kind of hoping that Nick would be getting the blackout today.) The shorts were fantastic and kept me in a good mood. I'm really glad that I pulled an all-nighter to watch all of these.

I pray that Looney Tunes will air regularly on CN. It would seriously be the best thing in CN history if they keep airing them. I'm sure the marathon did extremely well. If they can play "Bugs Bunny's 1001 Rabit Tales" and "Bah Hambuck Christmas special" over & over again, & if Baby Looney Tunes is still on, I'm sure this marathon did fine. They did the same thing with Scooby-Doo and it did extememly well, so I'm sure this did to. Now lets pray that CN will keep playing Looney Tunes. :)

Since I don't get CN anymore I sadly couldn't participate in the marathon, but luckily most of these are on DVD, so I'll probably watch some tonight.
Oh well, at least all of you enjoyed it. Glad there are many here who appreciate the classics.
I concur with everyone that I hope the ratings were good.
So were there any people here seeing the classic LT's for the first time?
It has been - what? 5 years or more since they last aired regularly?
What'd you think?

That was great!
I would have liked to see them all uncut, though. I'd rather the kiddies see violence than the innuendo that abounds today.
I wouldn't blame those who organized the marathon for the edited prints. They more than likely used the prints they've had access to for years, and they weren't aware of the edits.

My cousin had a wedding yesterday, and my family and I decided to stayed at the hotel around the corner.
That night, after the reception, I sat the alarm for 5:30am, the time when I got up and got ready. I did not want to be interrupted a lot when checkout time came.
Besides, from 7am-1pm was nothing but LOONEY TUNES!!! (We checked out late.) It was important that I got up to see as much of it as I could, since we have a DTV situation at home. (Fan devotion!)
Then when we home, I took a long nap, and now here I am! :D
-----------------------------
Now, back to the marathon itself.
If there is one thing I learned during this marathon, it's that childhood nostalgia has a way of making you cry. :crying: When the first cartoon came on, a couple of tears started welling up in my eyes. Just a couple.
Oh yeah, and I also learned that Looney Tunes ROCKS!
Cartoon Network, you have no idea how glad and happy I am that you were able to show LT on TV again! This was, IMO, the RIGHT way to start off 2009. I pray that this got higher ratings than Nick and Disney combined!

Today's Looney Tunes marathon was simply great. Seeing those LT/MM shorts for the first time in quite a while was truly an experience. Kudos for including the hilarious "Operation: Rabbit", one of my favorite Wile E. Coyote shorts. I would have liked to have seen a little more of Daffy Duck, but beyond that, no complaints.

You know guys - I just thought of something.
CN used to use the Toonzone boards to gauge what to cut and what not to cut concerning the Looney Tunes. If this marathon is succesful, I think you all better stop discussing edits or cut scenes directly just to be on the safe side.
Do we have any proof of this? Not that I don't believe this to be true, I'm just curious.

My overall thoughts:
I honestly can't remember the last time I watched TV for NINE hours (sorry, no 6AM for me), voluntarily, and enjoyed it as much as I did today. Every cartoon they showed was a true classic, and there were many of them that I hadn't really watched in far too long. Someone at the Cartoon Network, (and God bless 'em whoever they are), really knew their classics (or did their homework to find out). There wasn't a bad cartoon in the bunch, period. The very best from Freleng, Clampett, Jones, McKimson, and even a dash of Davis and Tashlin. All the big ones: "Operation Rabbit", "Devil May Hare", "Birds Anonymous", "Hyde and Hare", "Rabbit Hood", "Hair-Raising Hare", "Ready, Set Zoom", "Louvre Come Back To Me". Then they went into the finale, And what a finale...the last hour was nothing but the best, entirely uncut...five Chuck Jones masterpieces and a Friz Freleng Bugs Bunny opus. I could read the list of titles 'til the cows (er, rabbits) came home, but I had forgotten just HOW good all of these were, and how much fun it was to just sit and watch them unfold on live television.
There were few edits here and there, a few bad prints, but there were several shorts with once-cut stuff replaced ("High Diving Hare"), and a few with improved print quality ("Wearing of the Grin"). There were only four cartoons that made me angry, in fact I was offended. I missed the final minute and a half or so of "Show Biz Bugs", only to find that I hadn't missed it, because it wasn't THERE. That's like showing "Old Yeller" without the ending. Sure, it's violent, grim and surprising, but cut it to make people feel better? You just don't DO that. "Scaredy Cat" was horribly mutilated, and not just the suicide gag this time...they ran that one through a woodchipper! "For Scent-Imental Reasons" was also butchered, to remove the Penelope-threatening-to-shoot-herself-behind-the-glass bit, but also a bit of Pepe's dialogue before he jumps out the window into the paint bucket....not sure why they felt the need for that. "Dripalong Daffy", too, had that ridiculous removal of Porky's final line. I seem to remember them saying Warner Bros. itself made that cut for some foreign market and fixing it around 2003 or so...but it reared its ugly head today.
Other than those four, though, I didn't see anything tampered with. The only thing that would have made this marathon better would have been the remastered DVD prints of these shorts...but since I own all six volumes of those, I ain't complainin'.
There is no possible way this marathon could've missed in ratings. None whatsoever. Even if it did and we never see Looney Tunes on TV again, I want to thank CN for what they did today. Thanks, CN...I needed that!

I don't remember. Was Marvin's dog K-9 shown in any other shorts besides this one?
The Hasty Hare (1952; Jones) had him on there.
It has been - what? 5 years or more since they last aired regularly?
Actually, more like 4. Even though 2003 and 2004 were years that Looney Tunes started airing less frequently, 2005 was the year they stopped airing them period.
===========================================
And now, my thoughts on the marathon:
Given that I have five out of the six Looney Tunes DVD collections, you'd probably think I'd just say, "Screw this!" and not watch it, right? Well, you're wrong. I wanted to see (out of morbid curiosity) if they aired anything good (besides, Comedy Central was airing crappy movies). They did, but most of the cartoons I have seen uncut both on DVD and back before CN butchered them between 2001 and 2003 (I'm talking to you, For Scent-imental Reasons and Show Biz Bugs), but imagine my shock--my jaw-dropping shock (and joy--don't forget joy)--that two--count 'em--two cartoons that had a scene with something considered "racist" to the black community were shown uncut. I'm talking about:
The Mousemerized Cat with the Lou Costello mouse impersonating Rochester
the beginning of Trap Happy Porky with the Uncle Tom's Cabin sign (Boarders Taken--For All They Got!): My sister (who was with a friend all through New Years' Eve and New Years' Day) saw this and said that she thought of me (probably because when I first found the Censored Cartoons Page, I used to tell her what was cut from every cartoon and it drove her up the wall. Now my babbling actually has a purpose).Having it videotaped (yes, videotaped. I don't got the kind of scratch that affords me a DVR recorder or even a DVD recorder) was an even sweeter reward, for now I have proof that these scenes existed and that an American TV network showed them uncut.
Of course, the downside to this is that other cartoons didn't exactly jump on the "We're Going to Air Uncensored" bandwagon.
Book Revue still cut the race through "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (though I remember a time when CN did air this uncut. It was on The Bob Clampett Show)
Fresh Hare had the Camptown Races part of the firing squad ending cut (as it did back when the Looney Tunes were in rotation), which makes the fact that The Mousemerized Cat and Trap Happy Porky were shown uncut kind of strange, considering that all three cartoons had black stereotype parts and only two out of the three were shown uncut. Guess ya can't get everything you want.
For Scent-imental Reasons still looked the way it did in 2003 with two of the three suicide parts edited (the glass case and Pepe's line about the cat committing suicide for his love). On the bright side, at least it wasn't like ITV in Britain's version where all the suicide references are cut (British TZ members, please vouch for this Yank so I don't make a complete ass of myself) and I have seen the uncut version of FSR more times than you'll ever know (my mom got me a Golden Jubilee tape [the Best of Chuck Jones, not the Pepe Le Pew Skunk Tales one] and I currently have it on DVD)
Baby Bottleneck cut the Jimmy Durante stork drinking himself under the table (of course, I have the uncut DVD version, so it's not a total loss).
Show Biz Bugs had Daffy's daredevil performance with the dangerous chemicals edited--by ending the cartoon after the xylophone gag (which I thought was a better edit than just cutting to Bugs looking offscreen and only showing Daffy drink uranium 238. Hell, I'll take the network TV edits where Daffy says, "First...some nitroglycerin" over that mess CN had prior to the "end the cartoon after the xylophone gag" version. As with "Baby Bottleneck," it's out on DVD uncut and I shouldn't be mad with CN about it.
Baby Buggy Bunny (a perennial favorite in my family) had the gun part cut (but be glad the "abuse" Finster baby had to take with the shaking and the washing machine wasn't cut like it was on ABC. I had to see the edited version until cable and new media [the Internet and DVDs] reprogrammed me into realizing that the ABC version wasn't the true version)
Drip-Along Daffy had the "one-horse town" line cut after Daffy is shown as a janitor, which I always thought was a time cut (since the cartoon was time-compressed on TV), not an edit because some uptight CN censor construed it as a poop joke. If that were the case, then most of CN's home-grown programming (with similar gross-out gags) would have suffered the same fate as Drip-Along Daffy. It's not fair when a classic cartoon gets edited, but a modern one does the same thing and gets away with it. It's like that double standard of boys having sex=studs while girls having sex=sluts.
Swooner Crooner still had the part with Al Jolson chicken cut (but now that I have the uncut print, I can now tell where the censored part was supposed to be It's after the first chicken sings "Mama's Little Baby Loves Shortnin' Bread), which I find confusing, considering that they let the Cab Calloway chicken part in (not saying that that should be cut too, I loved that part back before I knew who Cab Calloway was [in fact, there were a lot of Cab Calloway parts in old cartoons I liked before I knew who he was--the oft-censored pipe cleaner part that Nickelodeon had uncut for a time on "Wholly Smoke", for example]).
From A to Z-z-z-z: From what I could tell, it looked uncut and did have the scene where Ralph fantasizes about shooting Indians while delivering a letter. Does anyone know if this cartoon is out on DVD (or at least have an uncut print of the cartoon) and can anyone confirm or deny that it was cut on Cartoon Network?So...in the grand scheme of things, I am glad that the Looney Tunes are airing on CN, only because the younger generation needs to see what us old geezers (at 20+ years old) used to watch before the age of anime and CGI movies that try to be like Pixar's oeuvre, but end up being like DreamWorks, and I hope this experiment will lead to the return of Looney Tunes on CN (because CN can only run Chowder, Flapjack, and Johnny Test reruns for so long before viewers go nuts and attack their cable boxes).
However, none of the shorts were restored (and some of them were edited), which makes me appreciate the effort that the people behind the Looney Tunes Golden Collection have done to bring the cartoons on DVD. Here's hoping that they do the same for the next collection (whatever it'll be called because they're not going under the Golden Collection name in 2009 and beyond).
"For Scent-Imental Reasons" was also butchered, to remove the Penelope-threatening-to-shoot-herself-behind-the-glass bit, but also a bit of Pepe's dialogue before he jumps out the window into the paint bucket....not sure why they felt the need for that.
It was Pepe threatening to shoot himself, not Penelope (you call yourself a classic cartoon fan?!).
And I'm not sure why they felt the need for that, either. CN aired the cartoon [For Scentimental Reasons] uncut until December 2003 [which was the year that it aired with the cuts made. It was first seen on a weekend airing of The Looney Tunes Show]. It's like the "You Beat Your Wife" part on "Wideo Wabbit" getting edited (the part was left in, but through digital editing and audio cuts, the scene was altered) in 2001 after airing uncut for so long. Or the part on Chow Hound where the mouse is an African savage (and what's really upsetting is that the edited version aired a day before I turned 16 [March 18, 2001]. Some birthday present, huh?!). Or the part on "Beanstalk Bunny" with giant Elmer smoking Bugs and Daffy out of his head (though CN flip-flopped [more times than any American politican you can name] between airing the uncut version and airing the edited version of Beanstalk Bunny). Of course, there's the reverse, where an edited cartoon is shown uncut, like Boobs in the Woods (with the Pocahontas part), most of the Bob Clampett cartoons shown on The Bob Clampett Show (particularly Book Revue and Hare Ribbin), and of course, the two most recent examples (The Mousemerized Cat and Trap-Happy Porky).

Yes it's over. And I'd like to thank the guys at CN especially the ones who picked these exact episodes for the marathon. Some of the best material was shown today and whoever picked it really knows their stuff. This was definitely the best marathon CN has had in ages and I can't recall the last time I've watched CN this much in one day. It's been a while. Anyway this was a great way to start the new year and we can only hope that Looney Tunes is here to stay. Can't wait to see how the ratings turn out for today.

It's okay. Like I said, I've seen the uncut cartoon a lot in my childhood, so seeing an edited version (to me) is foreign (but not so foreign that I don't go into obsessive nerd mode and point out what was cut. Man, if I was famous, I'd be on those DVD commentaries for the Looney Tunes cartoons, just so I can point out what was cut on TV. I may need a partner who can talk about the cartoon's history and who animated what scene because me pointing out what was cut and what wasn't can and will get tiresome. Matt, if you were famous enough to be on the commentaries, would you join me?;) I always thought you were a kinder, gentler version of that loser Matt Wilson [whatever happened to him, anyway?])

Wow. Just... wow.
I remember, when I was younger, loving these cartoons, and being mad when the timeslots changed and, consequently, the only time it aired was during school. Being only 8 or 9 at the time, I barely remember most of the shorts. This marathon really is great for kids nowadays to actually see the old shorts, as the extent of their Looney Tunes knowledge is just knowing who Bugs and Daffy are.
Anyways, for today's marathon, I made sure to have all the TVs and cable boxes in the house tuned to the channel, and just left them on all day. My family loved watching the show again, and many hours were just us sitting in front of the TV and cracking up at these classics. Even when my grandparents stopped over in the middle of the day, and cousins[In their 20s] late in the day, we all watched and enjoyed the shorts. So, pretty much, over the course of the day, we had people in their teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and even early 80s stop and enjoy some Looney Tunes. This has to be one of the few shows with a true universal appeal, there is no doubt the ratings will be great.
As for the shorts picked, there was no bad one in the bunch. I really liked every one I saw.
And regarding the show coming back, the show is an American classic, Cartoon Network owes it to themselves to keep airing it. And if not, then I really have to applaud them for doing this. No better way to bring in the new year than with the return of Looney Tunes, permanent or not.
Thanks so much, Cartoon Network; you can't be applauded enough.

That right there is the reason this marathon was so important.

My thoughts on the marathon:
Well, when I heard that CN was bringing back Bugs and the gang, I of course was very excited. And, when the schedule was released, I knew we were in for a rip-roaring day. There were a few editing miscues (Show Biz Bugs being abruptly cut out before we got to Daffy's closing stunt being the worst offender), but those are minor complaints. What matters is that we got to see the Looney Tunes crew on TV again, and there was nary a bad one in the bunch. CN really pulled out all the stops today, and I (as well as everyone else here) applaud their work.
Infinity/10 for one of the greatest days in the modern era of Cartoon Network.

I couldn't watch it. My dad had the TV on to Bones marathon on TNT:sad: . Well I hope everyone with those ratings boxes (I forget what they are called) watched it. I hope this marathon gets good enough ratings for LT to be on the regular schedule.

As for Matt Wilson, I don't know where he went. He was controversial around here when I was around TZ full-time (before the Golden Age Cartoons spinoff) but he was a good guy.
Here's his blog, he recently put out a new collection of NES-style music like he used to during the Bonus Stage days:
http://couchslave.blogspot.com/
He's actually gone on to do a little professional animation as well (He's done a few episodes for Nick's Kappa Mikey series).

I wanted to be up at midnight, and also up at 6:00 AM. I stayed up all night, and fell asleep after I Love to Singa. I missed Porky in Wackyland. :crying: Ah well. It's very unlikely, but I guy can dream...
Cartoon Network Executive: Look at the ratings from this marathon! Reruns will now be run on Har Har Thursdays! It could be a lead-in to Chowder!
I want this show to become popular again.
Personally, I find it would work as more of a lead into the PG rated toons. It's has controversal moments, but is still fairly suitable for kids.
If Slick Hare has taught me nothing else, it's that I should NEVER hit Humphrey Bogart in the face with a coconut custard pie with whipped cream.
This one is one of my personal favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons.
"One banana cream pie please!"
"One banana cream pie comin' up! Pick up pie!"
"Roger!"
"Your pie, sir!"
My favorite moment of the episode is always the scene where Bogart mentions that "Baby" will have to settle for a ham sandwich.
This marathon is proof that the classics never die. No matter how much the corporate suits try to bury them.
Who said they wanted the shorts dead?
It's not so much that they want them dead. As far as Cartoon Network goes for the most part, you have people who think the channel should be strictly for classic cartoons and then the people who think that the network should move forward.
Both understandable, but the problem is that both sides take an extreme viewpoint on their opinions. When in truth, there's room for both old and new.

I'm just glad that they didn't cut Bugs shooting someone who was coughing in the audience during Rhapsody Rabbit. It was so awesome.

Like the others said, I'm glad that Cartoon Network deigned to once more air the Looney Tunes shorts, and I watched most of the marathon during the afternoon hours (spent the morning/early afternoon watching the Rose Parade and the Blackhawks hockey game on NBC).
Re: the edits: while I'm not going to lose sleep over not getting to see stereotypical depictions of my ethnic group on TV, I *did* however still notice how edited some of the shorts were. Judging from the variable print quality and some of the edits, I assume some of Cartoon Network's broadcast prints are probably ones from syndicated TV or ABC (or even CBS') airings of the shorts. There's also, of course, possibly making cuts to squeeze in more commercials...
As for the ratings, I *really* hope this thing got decent ratings among the kid demographic, and that the kids didn't merely tune into the usual SpongeBob/live-action-Nick-show-fest or Hannah-Montana-and-Waverly-Place-fest on Nick and Disney Channel respectively...

Even if this does badly in the ratings, I honestly enjoyed myself yesterday. Watching all those classic shorts, all day, was just pure awesome. And seeing all those classic characters, be on Cartoon Network, in this day and age, was incredible. I'm really glad that CN did this, and I hope that they try something like this again in the future.
Watching this I was reminded of something that had always confused me. In some of the shorts someone will say something like "I'll 'myrtlize' em", I've never been able to figure out what that is in reference to. I'm guessing it's a refference to a person or some such who got mangled/beat up famously?

Don't you have Direct TV? Can't CN simply buy the ratings from DT or am I mistaken?

"You know what I think? I THINK THAT'S THE WABBIT!"
Me: NO WAI!!!
O' RLY??!
I thought it was Chowder. Nah, maybe Peter Griffin. I just don't know. :D
But seriously folks, that was a truly epic day for not only us Looney Tunes fans, but for the younger generation. Stuart Synder, Rico Hill, and people I know at Cartoon Network, you could have gone the regular route like Nick or Disney Channel and air just original programming, but no, you rightfully went the right way to see if people still cared about Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Sylvester and Tweety, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner and many other Looney Tunes characters. Most of us wanted Looney Tunes on CN, and now we had it. And....it was great. The marathon bumpers....a mix of The City Bumpers (i.e: The LT bumpers are from when CN changed its look in June 2004), the Powerhouse version of the Merrie Melodies theme song, and the current look of the CN logo.
This marathon had no screw-ups (Aside from the unreasonable edits, and PAL-like shorts), little to no promos from CN's regular shows popping up during the marathon, and to top it all off, you not only had the GREATEST SHORT EVER (Duck Amuck), but you also had the first very thing to appear on CN: Rhapsody Rabbit (although you could have put that in the beginning of the marathon. If Looney Tunes come back to the CN schedule (I don't care if they put it on crazy times nor the edits (I'm looking at you Show Biz Bugs)) and PAL-dified shorts we seen yesterday), I'll be very happy.
Now put The Flintsones on with a marathon (they're popular too, y'know?).

But a fun one. :pI honestly thought the short was pretty funny until it was revealed that it was Bugs making Daffy suffer. Sure, it was a nice twist, but I think I would have liked it more it was a live-action animator who was actually working on it. But either way, it had a great ending.

Dang it, I should have came here yesterday...
Man, this marathon was awesome! (What else is new...)
I loved seeing my favorite Daffy cartoons, involving bothering Porky in the hotel, bothering the guy in the hotel to cause him to punch Elmer everytime, and the one with Duck Twacy.
I think my favorite cartoon of the night was the one with Pirate Sam (was it Buccaneer Bunny, or Captain Hareblower? I missed the title), seeing Sam get blown up every single time...
Was it bad that I tuned out to every Tweety cartoon, though?

I taw I taw a puddy tat, indeed.
Speedy Gonzales tormenting poor Sylvester, Road Runner, Bugs, Daffy, and everyone else, whether famous, infamous, or forgotten, got one day to shine in the limelight on CN. I sincerely hope today's generation of children witnessed this, and enjoyed the timeless hijinks and gags of the LT gang.

I heard that the shooting scene was previously cut before.
I don't know if Cartoon Network edited it before, but I do know the WB cut it (The Censored Cartoons Page never lies--okay, maybe it does sometimes, but it's just like Wikipedia; if you feel that a fact isn't right and you have proof, you can correct it).
And does anyone else but me find it weird that Fowl Weather and Dime to Retire were only shown as bumper clips (Fowl Weather had the scene where Granny threatens to shoot Hector if he didn't guard Tweety and Dime to Retire had the scene with Porky on the phone)? I was waiting for one or the other to show up, but none of them did.

I really enjoyed that marathon. It was especially nice that for the most part, CN left the WB beginnings and endings on each cartoon (love that "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" theme!) But there were some truly baffling cuts in those toons. I can kind of understand why some of the bombings and gunplay were excised, but in one toon a whole entire joke was taken out for no good reason! It was in the toon where Daffy's a sheriff and Porky plays his "comedy relief" sidekick. Daffy enters a typical outlaw-ridden Western village and declares that he's going to "clean up this one-horse town!" Then he screws up consistently, and Porky finally uses a toy soldier to take down the bad guy. He's declared a hero, much to the duck's chagrin. Afterwards, Daffy is shown in the last scene declaring once again that "I told you I'd clean up this one-horse town!" Then the camera pulls back, showing him dressed up as a groundskeeper, pushing a trash can on wheels.
Then the cartoon ends. Cutting off the final moment. The payoff! The punch line:
PORKY: L-Lucky for him this IS a one-horse town!
WHY did CN do that???
Porky should sue.

Porky should sue.Apparently, the line could have alluded to something dirty or whatever. That's the only reason why I could see CN editing that.
The joke is that since there's only one horse in the town, Daffy will only have to clean the mess made by one horse. So it's like Porky's saying "He won't have much crap to shovel".
Again, I don't think that the people who organized this event should be blamed for these edits. There weren't any new edits in the marathon, so it's very likely they used whatever print they had at hand.

Wow! 30 pages of comments! Is there really anything more I could add after that?
I knew going in that some things would be cut and some cartoons (a number of the WW2 shorts for instance) would not be shown at all, but that's a small price to pay to get Looney Tunes back on TV for one glorious day.
I am quite pleased to have witnessed the majority of this marathon. I am also thrilled by the overwhelming response shown here. Hopefully, this gets Looney Tunes back in the rotation either here or on Boomerang.
That's all folks.... or is it? Only time will tell.
