So... what is everyone here doing for the new year? any special traditions?
We ususally go down to the marina for fireworks, or go to a movie or something, but since this year we couldn't go to Florida for my first half of Winter Break because of my knee surgery, we are driving down to our house in Palm Desert for the New Years, not exactly sure what we are gonna do, but we will hang out there for a week.

I have a tradition...ish. Every year for some reason I just end up in bed with a bowl of peanuts as I watch the ball drop. But this year I... am out of peanuts. Maybe I could just make myself a sandwich... I'm so pathetic.

Lol you said "ball drop" to.
As for me I'm not doing anything special. Probably just another crazy night of me playing video games before school decides to pop up again and force me to study for most of the months before summer, and plus the advance acting class I'm going to take if I make it means double work...but it's sure dang worth it.

Did they change the name of the Café to Toon Zone Middle School? :p
My friends and I have a tradition of playing what we assume to be the first stateside game of Magic: The Gathering played in the new year. (Because seriously, who else on the East Coast would want to play Magic at 12:01am?) For one of us in particular, the outcome of the game often determines how good or bad the year will be for him.
Unfortunately this year there are fewer of us in town than usual. I'm hoping we will still have our gaming get-together. If not, then I'll probably just be watching the televised festivities at home and then going to bed.

Same old, same old. Play some video games, watch some movies with my brother. Then at midnight, listen to the police scanner as the crap hits the fan. :D

Dude you said "ball drop" too.
Oh and for my new years I plan on staying home, and watching the red apple drop, then stay up until maybe 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning.

I'll be heading over my friend's apartment as I always do on New Years. Nothing special. Good friends. Good snacks. Good drinks.
And...ball...dropping...

That's what...nah, the last thing I want to become is one of those 8th grade jocks who, instead of paying attention in class, he makes "fart" jokes with his freinds all day. Please excuse my bad behavior Chykin.

Probably reading and/or playing WoW. With any luck I'll find a way to watch the K-1 Dynamite card without resorting to an illegal Japanese stream.
Usually I spend it lounging around on the couch watching the ball drop.
This year, though, hopefully I'll be rocking out in the middle of the Las Vegas strip. That city knows how to party. :D
