Well Cartoon Network held their annual conference today and mentioned that Samurai Jack and Justice League would both be back with 26 new episodes in the fall (Yeah! :D) and that Johnny Bravo will have a Valentines Special for 2003. It also mentioned that 8 new series pilots will be shown through out this summer, so here's my question, does anyone know what these 8 shows could possibly be?

My guess is that one will be the He-Man pilot already in production and the other will probably be the Duck Dodgers pilot. What does everyone else think?

Has it even been announced what the possibilities are? If not, how could anyone know? On the other hand, I've heard about this "Looney Tunes Babies," and hope it doesn't make it for a whole season.

Whatever the other ones are, I would probably vote for and watch the Duck Dodgers pilot, even if it's crummy.

Well, since Cartoon Network is a cable network, it doesn't have to announce all its new series at once. Just because some series weren't announced, doesn't mean they won't premiere. CN didn't announce Adult Swim at the upfronts last year and some other programming wasn't announced then either. I am disappointed about the lack of news from the upfronts, however I do know that there are some other potential series. "Duck Dodgers" and "All New Scooby Doo" (which will air on KWB in the fall) will premiere on CN in 2003.

Vince,

Should I assume from this announcement that GI JOE will NOT be airing on CN anytime soon? God..this sucks! I think I am going to stop watching this channel except for JL and Thundercats

No, do not assume this. If the show will be airing, it isn't a "new" show, so that's probably why they didn't announce it. Just because they didn't announce, doesn't mean they won't air it.

count yourself lucky - I haven't seen Thundercats on CN in the UK, nevermind any other channel for a LONG time and I would terribly love to see that cartoon again. My memories are distorted by those hilarious outtake wavs that were doing the rounds a few years back..!

Surely Lion-O wouldn't say such things...

Back to topic ;)

I'm a little antsy myself to hear CN say that they are going to show the pilot to the new He-Man series. Mattel has said it will air on CN this summer with a regular series airing after. At least Mattel has said something. I can't wait now to hear CN say it. :)
