Well, like it's predecessor. Site; Crunchyroll also plans on streaming the sequel as well.
Here's more

Job - Guardian
The Story's Protagonist. He recieved a shock when Kaaya and Neeba disappeared into the "Mythical Tower". In the idle days since then, he had moved on. But meeting the girl called Ki, he has once again gained the determination to the become a climber. He has a straight-forward personality, but he's quite thickheaded. A warrior who practices shield bearing.
Kaaya:

Neeba:
Age - 17
Gender - Male
Job - Archer

He held a mix of feelings of both jealousy and rivalry towards his half-brother Jil. For the sake of his goals, he had kept those around him as disposable tools and put off a stern personality without hate.
Fatina:
Age - 16
Gender - Female
Job - Mage
Once a member of Neeba's party, she took part in the defeat of Druaga. Presently her mage powers have revived, though she had been making a living as tour guide for the tower, she's joined Jil in becoming a climber again. Her feelings of attraction towards Neeba which had been harshly betrayed have become a scar on her heart.
Kelb:
A former commander of the Uruk Kingdom's Armed Forces. He had helped Jil and the others in the defeat of Druaga. After it was proposed that he be given a medal of justice for the achievement, he rejected it and resigned. He has now become an innkeeper. Though as thickheaded as ever, with a just and kind character, he now tends to his former-climber friends who lodge in his establishment.

I suppose we can convert this topic to an episode discussion. The first episode is out and subbed on Crunchyroll.

Incidentally, if you don't like Crunchyroll, it's been made available... elsewhere.
This first episode is pretty good. Not much on the humor department, but that is to be expected after the previous season's finale.

I was on this episode like a hawk after last season's finale. I don't think that I've anticipated a second season since Code Geass' ending. Anyway, this is turning out to be quite a season. Though I kinda want Jil to end up with Fatina. Yeah, I know that probably isn't going to happen but darn it, shipping is fun! :p BTW, Kai is ka-wa-ii with a capital "K"
My favorite scene was when they saw the play and they commented on how it was exactly like what happened to them.
I didn't like the new OP as much as I did the last one but the video itself was fun as usual.

I'm still deciding whether or not to get a Crunchyroll Anime Membership, and for how long, so it's good to know I can watch this simulcast without one. Anyway, this second season/series looks good so far, and I love the new OP and its video, and it looks like Kai will be a big focus for this season.

They're damn inconsistant.
In the first season's subs, it was Ki (which is also the official English spelling for her name in the games) but here in the second season they call her Kai.
Also, in the first season they said "Yar, Uruk", here they've gone and decided to change the subs for it to "Hail, Uruk".

It's on You Tube. I just saw it.
I would like to say that it will be airing on You Tube afterall, but I', personally going to wait until next week. However, I hink it's (cautiously) safe to assume that Gonzo will be streaming it on You Tube like last time. Oh yeah, and all the "Aegis..." episodes were re-uploaded too.
As for the episode. It looks like the show is going to play it straight this time though there will be elements of comedy throughout. However, I didn't like how Kaaya was actually trying to tell herself that she has no regrets or feelings for Jil. After all, she truly regrets what she had to do in the final episode of the first series. I also didn't like that "Ki" was misspelled as "Kai" (it's written as the former, but pronounced as the latter) since "Ki" is Namco's official English spelling of her name as was previously pointed out. I'm guessing that Gonzo (or whoever) is using a different translator this time, in which case he/she probably isn't familiar with the games or the show.
Well, here's hoping Gonzo will make the entire series available on You Tube. Slightly off-topic, but the only reason I watch Pretty Cure on Crunchyroll is because You Tube doesn't have it. Otherwise I would watch it on You Tube.
EDIT: Well, will you look at that: 800th post...

Awesome episode to reintroduce all the characters. The character at the start with red hair looks...vaguely familiar. Hrm.
As far as the rest goes.. it's nice to see what our heroes have been up to over the last six months. Some new characters introduced (without being introduced by name) here too, and some old faces as well. I liked Kai (who looks a lot like Kaaya). She's cute, and lol @ Armorless Utu!
The Fatina/Jil dynamic seems nice, and is actually sort of cute. Makes me wonder now. There was a time in Season 1 where it seemed like maybe Fatina had underlying feelings for Jil, but was too taken with Neeba. Now it seems Fatina's let her feelings out somewhat about Jil as seen in the "Wrestling Arena" scene. If anything is based on the opening though, we may have a Jil/Kaaya "destined to be together" sort of ending.
Either way, we'll see! I certainly can't wait for the next episode. Seems our climbers are going to get the gang back together. Wonder how Fatina will handle it... a lot of her bad memories stem from this exact thing. The betrayal, the loss of a friend, and watching another friend get betrayed too.

Considering what the openings are, I wouldn't take them seriously enough to make any conclusions about the show's plot or characters from. Nevermind the fact that Gilgamesh appears in both his young (Gil) and old (King Gilgamesh) forms in the opening, and the opening also shows Ahmey as being alive.

Episode 2 now out.
Things I didn't need to see: That fat woman bathing and subsequent sounds that she made (shudders)
Things that made me laugh out loud
1. Ki running around sticking the spoon up people's....um...yeah. I watched Fatina's scream about 10 times before I stopped laughing at it.
2. That guy trying to capture them. Seriously, he's like the Team Rocket of the show.
So this episode was good. I greatly enjoyed the antics that Jil's group got into (and the running joke about how nobody knows who Utu is outside of his uniform). Also, I think the writers are taking a page out of Avatar's book and teasing us with the possible pairing of JilXFatina because there was a good bit of it this time. I prefer Fatina more but we'll just have to see.
Really? That person with the crossbow is a girl? I didn't think so the first time they showed her.
Oh yeah, they fixed the Kai/Ki thing.
EDIT: "WARM AND FUZZY SUNLIGHT!"

LOL. I love this show, and yes; Ki is amazingly cute. Her antics with the mouse, and then her special um... attack along with the mouse kicking tail... that was great.
I agree about the JilxFatina thing. I do like that more than I liked the JilxKaaya thing last season. I mean.. Kaaya was okay, but I think it was more of a mutal respect, "omg she's so cute" sort of thing going on. Not to mention the way the opening theme was that lead people to believe it. My thing about JilxFatina though is Fatina picked on Jil a lot last season, but was hung up on Neeba's sorry tail. Now Fatina's gotten to see the real side of Jil and I think she likes it. :o The ending this season is also a tad strange though. Is that supposed to be Jil and Kaaya on the cake or Fatina? I'm really not sure. The opening to this season though also sort of leads to a JilxKaaya thing, what with her picture in his room, and then the bit at the end. Meh. I'm reading too much into an Opening that's an alternate universe. I'll be rooting on Fatina this season though. She's way sweeter this time.
As far as the actual episode goes, I love the thing with Utu, and people not knowing who he is without the helmet. I loved the reaction when he was trying to get in the bar and Kelb was like "We're closed!" The guy chasing after them was hilarious, and I loved the two girls in the bar that helped them out.
The girl with the crossboy was effin' hilarious. WARM AND FUZZY SUNLIGHT! When she put Jil to sleep by accident, I cracked up laughing. "Druaga!" Haha. God, I love this series.

Yeah. I noticed that. The only thing that led me to believe it's Kaaya is the hair color, but.. I guess we can't base much on an ending like that. The headband reminds me of Kaaya too.
Also, Melt and what'sherface from Season 1 looks awesome in the next episode. She looks really mature!

I didn't know Japan watched "24."
Today wasn't exactly plot-filled but it was certainly comedy-filled. You know, I know Melt was a jerk but I didn't think he was a ******. I mean, who sells out their friends like that? Though I was extremely entertained by the way he said "ri-iiich" like that. Speaking of which, WOW, Coopa! I mean, you really would not think that that was the same person as last season. What are they trying to do there?
Aww, Utu has a has a protection complex for Ki. That's so sweet.
I loved the reference to the first episode with Jil's dream when it showed Fatina with the tentacles. "See! Now you're teaching her bad words!"
Next week looks awesome.

Yeah, but I'm thinking Coopa may be older than people think, hence how she can look so mature like that, you know? She did mention she helped him with his family's money and all that.
Utu was hilarious. Like I said.. Ki stole the show again. The V for Victory sign she gave when she was saved by the Tentacle thingers was hilarious.

So you're saying the "countdown clock" was in fact not a coincidence?
Anyway, I'm thinking that the joke here is that Melt is a real jerk, but we had really known that since the first series. That said:
I mean, who sells out their friends like that?
In Melt's case: someone who doesn't know where his priorities lie. He's neither a good guy, nor a bad guy. He isn't even neutral either. I would say he's "nothing", but even he doesn't deserve that. One thing is certain, he doesn't deserve to be on Jil's team...he never did. On the other hand, Coopa is innocent because she was only following orders, plus she had no knowledge of what Melt was going to do.
After seeing all this happen, you would think that Melt might be the "third betrayal" that Ki mentioned in the first series, but I think this was too easy. I think we'll have to watch a little further before we can discern who the "third betrayal" will really be. You see, if it's one thing I've learned about this anime, it's that nothing is what it appears to be...

I'm pretty sure the third betrayal is Gilgamesh, actually.

Yeah, did not see that coming, but is a welcome character to have back.
-When the episode started, I was like "Am I still watching the same show or did I fall into Serial Experiments Lain?"
-Lots of action this episode which is always good, but a lot of Neeba too which really isn't that good, though his new bow that comes out of his armor is pretty badass.
-Uh oh, Henaro's got some secrets. Thank goodness too because I thought she'd be a complete one-dimensional character who was only there to add another member to the party.
-I really think Fatina's card-shooting thing looks crazy-awesome.

YouTube members have been reporting seeing a female robot resembling KOS-MOS from the Xenosaga series, but I never did get a good look at her (or KOS-MOS herself in artwork, etc), so I can't be certain.
Also, Namco was directly referenced in this episode when Gremica tried offer Ki some candy; one of the flavors was "Babylim Namco".
I wonder if the number 765 will somehow be incorporated*...
*"765" when pronounced in Japanese is "Na-Mu-Ko" (when you pronounce the digits individually), a phonetic representation of "Namco".

Yeah, it does seem that time moves slowly in the Mythical Tower. Leads me to wonder how far Jil, Fatina, and company are really behind seeing as it's only been 10 days for Kaaya and Neeba. I wonder if that means that Jil and co. will age like Neeba and Kaaya have over this time as well.
Indeed. Ahmey is back next episode. I figured it'd be some sort of "in the past" sort of thing, but the dead living there does make a little sense. Who knows until next week though.

Lots of action indeed. Those Assassins were actually really cool. Neeba + Kaaya's fight was fairly awesome, but I liked the one with Jil and all of them. That was pretty sweet. It does look like Henaro has some secrets that may effect those assassins somehow. I wonder what it is..

Yeah, the one that threw Ice Dagger/Swords out that was fighting Neeba and Kaaya looked sort of KOS-MOS-ish. That was what I thought when I first saw her.
Either way, after a slow episode last week, this one was really good. Looks like Kaaya is still thinking about Jil, so that's a plus, but it also leads you to wonder about what will happen between Jil and Fatina, as I actually like that couple a little more. D: Jil and Kaaya were cute in Season 1, but the way Fatina picked on him, it was like she liked him too except for the fact that she was with his brother. Ah well, guess it's time to wait til next week!

Moo moo. What I got of the "assassins'" names from the credits.
The little girl who can't tell hot from cold is called Might the Fool. I know this because the role is credited to Chiwa Saito (whom you may remember as Louise in Gundam 00 and Subaru in Nanoha StrikerS) and that's definitely her voice I'm hearing.
The rest of the names are Sword of Blood, Tear of Ice and Specula Ex Machina. You can figure out which of those matches to whom just by looking at them. For short, the official summaries in Newtype and on the official website respectively call them Might, Blood, Ice and Specula.

Okay now, I'm done with the episode.
-First of all: Dang. Besides the last season finale this has to be the greatest episode of this show I've ever seen. Not because of the action but my god, the emotions going around. I mean, we, the viewers, and the characters clearly know that this is a serious illusion and that something is off but really, we just don't care. I mean these guys just died very clearly last season and we're able to see them again? GONZO is really pulling on the old heartstrings.
-That being said, there were quite a few revelations this week. First off being that my guess was dead on to Henaro having a deeper motive than what lies on the surface. But I REALLY did not see the whole "Pazuzu is her father" thing coming at all. I also didn't predict that she is actually pretty dark and has some issues of her own. It looks like we've got the next betrayal coming sooner than we think.
-I miss Kally. We need more guys like him in shows like this.
-Nice Fanservice is nice
1. Ahmey is incredibly hot without the armor
2. Bath scenes are always welcome
3. I never noticed this before but I don't think that Henaro....is wearing pants...I think she has those really high stockings and like it's dark or something. Yeah, don't ask how I notice these things.
-OH COME ON! JUST SAY WE'RE NOT GETTING JILXFATINA BECAUSE JILXKAAYA JUST HAS TO HAPPEN DOESN'T IT? This episode pretty much killed any chance of that....
-Next week, it looks like it's finally Naruto vs. Sasuke...I mean, Jil vs. Neeba. Yeah, that's what I meant.

Agreed. I didn't expect Pazuzu to be uh... yeah. That was definitely interesting. Also, Might seems to have switched sides. Her "Mama" was a version of Kally as well? That's interesting.. if that was Kally at all. Kally looked bigger there. Maybe it was Henaro's mother or something. I was confused with that part. I wasn't sure if you could have duplicates of people there or not.
As far as the rest goes... a ton of character development for sure. Seeing Kally and Ahmey again was sweet. Those other three assassins continue to be really dangerous, and it was sad that Ahmey and Kally were just an illusions.
Looks like we had some Jil development for sure, and some jealousy from Fatina. Jil having Kaaya's tie thinger wrapped around his head pretty much shuts out any chance of a JilxFatina ending unless Kaaya were to die protecting Jil at the end or something. D: This episode proved how much GONZO is pulling at the heartstrings.
I still like JilxFatina a lot, but this is the first series where I actually like both "rival" girls. Kaaya is okay, even if she had to "betray" Jil, especially now that we see she really, *really* regrets it. Fatina was fun in Season 1 when she picked on him (because in school, the girls usually picked on boys they like), and then she likes him here. I'm wondering though if Jil is just her rebound, and she still has feelings for Neeba. I guess we'll see.
I loved the fanservice too by the way. I love this series.

The whole revelation involving Henaro and Pazuz doesn't make sense to me. When we first met Henaro, she was just some random individual who got "caught in the middle", but who also happened to be able to fight. Now we have the "revelation" in question? It feels like Gonzo just made that up on the spot in order to create some kind of tension. Are they implying that Henaro intentionally "allowed" herself to caught up in the whole (and thus implying that Henaro is a "spy" of some sort)? Somehow, I don't think that's the case.
With six episodes to go, I'm wondering if it's "all downhill from here" at this point?
Also, it has become apparent to me that Coopa was hardest hit by what happened to Ahmey in the first series; as if Ahmey was something of a "mother" to her.
Incidentally, I'm now convinced for certain that this show is being done by a different translator; the honorifics are being "translated" instead of being kept as is (e.g., "Mistress Ahmey" instead of "Ahmey-sama").

Is it something from the first season or some sport term I don't know about but what's the deal the forks?

Well she did openly state she was working for the Fat Lady Adviser; while the revelation about her does seem somewhat tacked-on it does make sense for a spy to be hanging around (remember she had built up a large tab from hanging out alot at the former General's Tavern) a former high ranking military official and two of the key individuals involved with the Princess ascending the tower.

Druaga's finale came out a while ago. It was absolutely outstanding. I loved it.

-That's right...GONZO just did the impossible. An epic space battle...WITH THE GODS ACTUALLY FIRING BACK! If that's not awesome, I'm not sure what is.
-HENAROOOOOOOO!! (And just think that a few episodes ago, I was calling her, "THAT LYING TRAITOROUS (expletive)!"
-Even in the last episode, there's always room for FANSERVICE!
-FATINA/UTU/JIL HAVE REACHED LVL. 99!
JIL GETS: ULTIMATE ITEM: CAPTAIN'S SWORD AND SHIELD!
FATINA GETS: DOUBLE-HANDED FIRE GUN!
UTU GETS: 20 NEW INSTA-AXES!
-Oh FORGET YOU GONZO...with your "JilXFatina needs to happen" Utu's confession was hilarious though!
-Succubus is like Nena from Gundam 00. Really, really cute...but I hate her a lot.
-Neeba is like Sasuke. Every time I see him do something, I want to punch him in the face
-NEEBA HAS REACHED SECOND FORM: DRUAGA-NEEBA!
-NEEBA HAS REACHED FINAL FORM: ULTIMATE DRUAGA-NEEBA!
-At first I was like "What's with the spoon" and then it hit me! I started laughing even before Gil was hit with Ki's "ultimate attack"
-Okay, chibi-Succubus was really cute.
-Wow...that was very satisfying. I mean, you barely get that in a GONZO anime so I am very suprised at how well this was. Good action, good ending and left no loose threads. This is a rarity these days! Well, I gotta say, this anime was great and CR are awesome for putting it up on the same day Japan does. Looking forward to the next ones!

This last episode was great, but I was a bit confused by the ending. I'm guessing that all the dead characters reincarnated, and there's some random guy who happens to look like old Gilgamesh. Thank God this wasn't the typical "Gonzo ending"--no attempts to turn this into political commentary or make this into a deep, metaphysical story or plot twists out of nowhere or anything.

Haha! That's exactly how I followed it! It felt like they were reaching the endgame and when Jil was getting the items and all.. that was great. Actually, it sort of reminded me of his old gear from Season 1; not so much "new stuff" and all.
Also, do you mean "JilxKaaya needs to happen"? Utu's confession there about marrying her was great, and by the epilogue... Hm.. xD
Henaro dying was very sad. =[ The Succubus, while evil, was actually fairly awesome, and ADORABLE in the epilogue where she was Neeba. Leaves me to wonder where they were exactly.
But yeah, having JilxKaaya as the ending bit, mirroring the first ending from the first season was outstanding. I can't remember waht that staff thing was where they panned up the screen. The other "pairings" and what not worked too. Old Gil/Ki as climbers was amazing. Seeing Gil in the older silver armor was awesome, along with Ki in her pinkish-reddish armor. Kelb and Ethana's wedding was so cool, and Kelb's outfit was hilarious.
Either way, I was extremely satisfied with this series. Didn't feel like a GONZO series at all. Like I said, I loved the lookbacks to the first season as well, especially with the final scene with Jil/Kaaya holding hands.
Ki's attack on Gil with the spoon there at the end was hysterical. Also.. the epilogue with Chibi-Succubus/Neeba.. did she have a wooden spoon? Rofl.

Haha. Where at? The part where Neeba and the Succubus seemed to be alright and what not? Though I'm sure you are kidding. =P
Either way, I think that's the end. It was nice closure with how the final scene was Jil and Kaaya together in the same pose as the first ending theme in Season 1. That was really great. The more I think about it as well, I'm happy he ended up with Kaaya. She did have her reasons for leaving him behind, thinking she was doing the right thing and all. It ended well either way with Fatina and possibly Utu seeing something there. xD

Surprisingly awesome, which pretty much seals my decision to buy these when FUNi releases them next fall.
One thing I might have missed, though... did they ever explain who the blue-haired woman with the glasses really was? She tells Jil she's a "distant relative," which seemed to hint at somehting more important, but I don't remember ever seeing anything concrete.
EDIT: Also... leave it to Utu to attend a wedding in full plate armor.

Well, I just saw it, and let me tell you, that Neeba was ignorant all the way up to the end. In other words, he was on his deathbed (which was drenched in his...well, you know, but anyway...), and he still didn't get it. He still didn't understand that Jil cares about him, and that Jil did everything he did because he had compassion, and believed that the world can be better than it is. Neeba clearly lived a pitiful existance, Druaga or not.
Anyway, there are three things that still bother me:
1. Was that really Neeba posessed by Druaga (the real one, not the "guardian"), or was it Druaga assuming Neeba's form and memories?
2. My understanding is that there is an "episode 13" even though this appears to be the end of the story. If there is an episode 13, what will it be about?
3. I still keep thinking back to that poster from the first series opening, and it's date of "2009.7" (July 2009). Is there going to be a movie? Does it have anything to do with the Druaga MMORPG (The Tower of Druaga: The Recovery of Babylim) that Namco has?
In any case, while the show appears to have a clean resolved ending, to me it just feels too easy. You see, if it's one thing I've learned about this show, it's that nothing is as it seems.
Anyway, I won't be getting any DVDs of this show. The death of Ahmey was the main dealbreaker right there (which was confirmed in the second series). That, plus the whole "curse of immortality" thing caused the show to retroactively "jump the shark" as we say in America. In any case, it made it clear to me that this show shouldn't be taken as canon, IMO; that it was merely GONZO's personal vision of the universe established by the original 1984 arcade game (if anything, after all was said and done in the games, Gil and Ki presumably got married and lived happily ever after...you know how it is).
Lastly, I'm assuming that Funimation is going to use the "uncensored" R2 DVD versions of the episodes (i.e., which feature uncensored nudity: something I don't deal with), and for lack of any other reason, the was too much "red stuff" in the final two episodes (especially episode 11 of Sword of Uruk, which I thought was not cool, not even for Japan).
It's too bad really. If it wasn't for these things that happened, I probably would have gotten the DVD release....
