I think this poster looks great, esp. the expressions on the face of Belle and Jasmine :D

Who knew, even while in the midst of Disney's sequel madness there are two movies they are releasing I look forward to seeing - this one and Treasure Planet.

The movie is about an alien (Stitch) who lands in Hawaii and is found by an Elvis lovin' girl named Lilo. That's basically all I know of the plot, to be honest...

It looks like Jasmine thinks its cute :p

Well, when Disney tries something new, it usually turns out pretty good. Here's to hoping this movie redeems them in at least a teeny way

Interesting. Very very interesting. On a gut level, I think it's funny, and it shows that Disney's trying something new.

But notice something about the animated characters recoiling in shock... they're all from Disney's highest-grossing movies! No quasimodo, no Milo, no Kuzco. Why? My guess would be that Disney's trying desperately to overcome the growing public sentiment that cel animation is passe, and that we should only watch CGI toons. The hinted-at message here is "you liked these guys... give Stitch a try!"

What do you think?

They're definitely trying to capitalize on previous successful movies. And they've clearly put an enormous amount of thought into this poster. There's more characters from the big recent hits, but they made sure not to neglect the classics (3 Lion Kings, 3 Aladdins, 2 Beautys, 1.5 Mermaids, 2 Pinnochios, 1 Peter Pan, 1 Snow White). The characters are all visually interesting (not an overload of similar human characters), which may be why we only need see Ariel's fishy half.

It's a cute idea and kids will like the poster, but something about it doesn't sit right with me. It's like they're cheapening the characters somehow by using them to promote a new movie that they're not even in.

I'd rather see a Lilo & Stitch poster that captures the mood of this movie and makes it stand out from the rest, rather than blend in.

I noticed that, too, when I saw the poster. All they are missing is TARZAN and they basically got the full line-up of their most recent biggest hits. I like this posters - it's a good attempt to show that cel animation can still produce some darn good movies. With the incredibly popularity of CGI, Disney is putting all their big characters forward.

Although, I'm hoping that this means we'll see more trailers with Stitch worked into them. They've done Beauty & The Beast and Aladdin so far. I hope they do a few more with some of these characters.

I finally saw the Stitch trailer with Aladdin in it, and the actual footage from the movie was a hoot! Pound dogs hiding in fear when Lilo comes around (looks like she's an Elmyra relative), and Stitch throwing around a VW beetle... wild and hilarious!

And at the Disney site I downloaded it from, they had thumbnails of the two videos already out... and two more greyed out. So yup, there will be more!

Yep, I think I heard that the next one will be The Lion King and the fourth one will be The Little Mermaid.

I like the concept of all the Lilo and Stitch advertising. Its creative and I think the commercials so far have been funny...they certainly catch your attention! :)
