I am a big question for this 5 alternate titles"Often an Orphan", "The Leghorn Blows at Midnight", "The Ducksters", "Cheese Chasers", and "Tweety's S.O.S." and it's the question:
The titles air on TV and video after the Blue Ribbon was are the original titles?
Thanks! :) :p

Cartoon Man's natural language is French, and the translation software to which he and we have access is, alas, not perfect.
Most of can at least ascertain what he's trying to say. :)

Ah. My apologies indeed.
To my knowledge, there aren't blue ribbon prints of these cartoons. At least if there are, I can't recall seeing them.

There are Blue Ribbon prints, only instead of replacing all the titles and credits with a generic Blue Ribbon title, they made a new title card for each short, but left all the other credits intact.

Wow, really? When did they start airing the BR print instead? Any chance someone could make a scan of the original title?

I don't have a copy of it on tape, but the original had Hubie holding Bertie's tail, before he ran through a piece of cheese.

A lot of WB cartoons from that period use the same background art for the title card as the background for the director credit.

(This is my 100th post! Milestone!)
You can tell the ones that are faked because they fade in from the Blue Ribbon title (on all others, there is a jump cut) and no attempt is made to recreate the original title art. The title card of "Often An Orphan" should be written on the first part of the billboard. "Cheese Chasers" should have the same art on the title card as on the director credit card. I couldn't imagine what the other three should look like.

"French Rarebit" also deserves a mention on the list. It has its original title card, but they tacked on a new (post-1956 Jones unit) Bugs Bunny title card with the BR release, with the jump cut going between that and the cartoon's title.

On BR version, the music theme of "A Bear for punishment" were incorrect (50's later).
Also incorrect the MM theme on BR version on "Old Glory" and "Inki and the Lion". (40's version)

Wow, this is seriously interesting stuff! I have a feeling I'm going to learn a bunch on here. And to think, at one time, I thought I knew alot about cartoons.....

When some of the post-48 cartoons were transferred to videotape in the 1980s and 1990s, some of the theme music was changed, apparently just because the transfer people wanted to see what it was like.
Aside from "A Bear for Punishment," "Boston Quackie" had the 1946-55 LT music dubbed in over the 1955-64 theme, and at one time "Little Boy Boo" had the 55-64 Merrie Melodies opening and closing music dubbed over the 46-55 LT theme (since corrected). IIRC, there's also a Sylvester-Hippety Hopper out there that has the post-55 music tacked on to the end titles.

Well, "The Leghorn Blows at Midnight" seems to be original, unless someone questions the yellow-green credit titles. I mean, there's a jump cut from the BR card to the main title, and dissolves through the entire credits.

Recently, a version of "High Diving Hare" were incorrectly the debut theme. On the original, that's the 1946-1955's LT theme (available on A Salute to Friz Freleng) but during this airing on Teletoon last weekend, the debut were the 1955-1964's LT theme. Very Curious???
Also alway on Teletoon, the 1955-1964's MM theme on "From Hare to Heir" were replaced by the 1946-1955's MM theme.
