My sentiments exactly. I responded to a DBZ- Vs JLA thread with that same remark. If Batman EVER had a Super power, it would be his ability to learn and adapt. No Hero does that better than him. All his knowledge he did'nt just learn (in a short amount of time) he MASTERED them!

All Goku does is fight and grunt. I don't really consider that a hero. Batman, Superman, and to a lesser extent Spider-Man, are some of the coolest fictional heroes around. It's a shame to see Batman losing...

BTW, Batman could beat those guys even without his toys. Despite his usually being prepared for anything, Batman is great at improvising. When his opponent has the physical advantage, he fights smart and beats them by cunning. There are ways to take down a guy bigger, stronger, and/or faster than you are, and Batman knows them all (and if he doesn't, he'd figure them out real quick).

He's just a dumb brute that has some weird obsession with fighting. Actually, the entire universe on that show has a dangerous fixation with fighting. Cure deadly diseases and you get to be just another cloud, but become a great fighter and you get to keep your body and have a whole planet to yourself and other fighters! Eck.

Personally, theres no way Batman could beat Goku physically in a match. Through DBZ's very intellegent storyline :rolleyes: they've turned Goku into an uber-god, well actually, even more powerful than their version of God(searching for that nauseous smiley...)! He's pretty much invincible now, with no weaknesses and no discernable limits. I mean, sure Batman could cheat and call up favors on every super powered villain in every universe and make them all attack Goku at once, but even then I'd have doubts.

But just because Batman has a snowball's chance in beating up Goku in a fight, Batman is DEFINATELY the better hero. He puts his life out on the line every night, and always comes up ahead. He is built on tragedy and his duel obsession for vengence and justice has pushed himself to limits no other human being could possibly achieve. He's well-versed with computers, acting, hundreds of fighting techniques, human anatomy, psychology, and much, much more. As has been stated in past threads, he beats out Sherlock Holmes and Bruce Lee put together, his stories can fit in just about any film genre you can imagine, and his character has been fleshed out for over 50 years. Batman all the way!

And Superman is right beside him, of course!

ADD: Now, I'd love to really see Joker on DBZ. It'd be a treat to see him pull apart the layers of Goku's mind in Joker's own disgusting ways that I could never imagine. Another reason Batman rocks - his rogue gallery are true challenges to a man who calls himself a 'hero'.

Wow, Borg4of3, you really put the way I feel into words. I always felt that Batman is the greatest human. He's one of us that we can look up to.

And yeah--I want to see Goku vs. Joker. That's gotta be good :D .

Superman definately should be on the poll! Of course, I'd rather see Batman beat Goku, but I'd vote for Superman over Batman in a heartbeat! :D
