Flapjack.

Why?

Flapjack is one of the most creative idea's in a long time, the characters are really funny and creative and the art style of the show is very inovative. The voice acting is superb and the plot of each episode never is dull.

That's not part of the third wave.

Megas XLR:anime:
I also like Ben 10,Class of 3000,and Fosters

Hmmm, tough choice. Mainly because the 3rd Wave was the weakest of the CN's era.

I chose "Foster's". I was never actually a big fan of it, though, and only watched few episodes, but it was probably the most watchable of the bunch.

I would say Megas, but I think that the second season sagged a little so I'm going to have to go with Foster's which has always been consistently funny.

Ok, sorry for showing up, I really shouldn't.

Megas is a favorite because it was close to "Downtown".
Ben10 I only download season 1.

But,,,

Juniper Lee I am trying to catch all seasons for "keeps". So that I choose as my favorite. Even after seeing the mediocre AmDrag.

I'm going for Fosters.

Hard one. Ben 10, Foster's, and Magas are the ones with the highest merits. Out of the three Magas and Foster's are the two that stand out, since I never became too involved in Ben 10s story or characters.

On one hand, Magas proved to be very unique by supplying its audience with action and comedy--in a anime/geek pesuedo way--which not all that many cartoons have done. On the other hand, Foster's had some exceptionally well-written characters.

I picked Foster's for the fact it had far more lasting power than Magas.

After looking at the choices in the poll, I'm inclined to agree.

I went with Ben 10, though Juniper Lee was a tight, tight second.

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends for me. It is imaginative, unique, and an overall fun show. Megas XLR is a close second, since I found it supplied a god amount of action and comedy.

If Megas XLR hadn't been on this list, I'd have voted for Class of 3000. But Megas edges Co3K out for being that much more hilarious and anarchic.

Wow, I wish I could've seen more of Megas when it was actually on the air. So many people like it; it must've been phenomenal. I did like what I saw of the little bit of Megas I saw. And just a correction, Megas premiered in 2003, not 2004. I don't really consider it a part of the 3rd Wave as much as the 2nd Wave. Anyways, Hi Hi Puffy, Camp Lazlo, Gym Partner, and Squirrel Boy were all bland and are the main things I think of when I think of CN's Dark Age. Ben 10 and Juniper Lee were ok from what I remember, but they were bland compared to shows in previous years, and Juniper Lee was overshadowed by American Dragon at the time. Class of 3000 had some nice art, but I don't think I ever found it funny from the little bit of it that I saw.

But still, I think that even if I had seen 3000 and Megas, I'd still choose Foster's over everything here. IMO, Foster's was the only original show that pulled CN through the dark ages.

No, Megas XLR debuted in May 2004 on Toonami. It was suppose to premiere December 2003, but it was delayed to May. So, its part of the third wave.

I hard a hard time choosing between Megas XLR and fosters. But, I had to go with fosters. Why? it's an idea thats never been done before and I havent seen a show with that much creativity in a long time when it came out.

Out of all of these, I'd say that Foster's was probably the most enduring for me, even if the past season-and-a-half weren't that great and the first two don't hold up that well, anyway.

Am I the only one who never liked Megas? To me, all it was able to do was make one dull pop culture reference after another in order to appear as "sharp" and "daring", but wasn't able to be genuinely funny by itself. The fight scenes also weren't much to write home about.

Class of 3000, Juniper Lee, Gym Partner, and Lazlo all had their fair share of good episodes, but never really enough to have me claim them as a favorite, or be something I'd get out of my way to watch. Never got into the rest.

Generally, there isn't much to say since this wasn't really a good point for CN, at least compared to years past. As of late, I tihnk that CN's been on their A-game more with their originals now then they were at this point, Ben 10: Alien Force being their only original currently in production I'd call an out-right bad show. The network's peak has fallen, but I'd find it hard to take seriously if someone tried to give me an arguement that CN's at an all-time low as of compared to 2004-2006.

Even after seeing the mediocre AmDrag.
Any show that makes peisodes like "Homecoming" is invalid for consideration for being mediocre, especially when compared to Juniper Lee.

Done fanboying, now.

Am I the only one who never liked Megas?

What's Megas?

Seriously, I'm not even joking. That one just flew past me. Then again, I wasn't watching much TV nor was I hanging around here as much in 2004.

Foster's. Megas XLR never got to fully execute its ideas, but Foster's not only is meeting the 78-episode limit, it has managed to remain consistently fresh and funny throughout, with even a small amount of character development throughout.

Foster's is a triumph, it is a shame it is underappreciated by some people and, now, its own network.

Read this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megas_XLR), DG.

Megas XLR was an action show which began as the short Lowbrow before being made into a series. It was an action show, but it didn't take itself too seriously; it featured enough laughs to keep fans of comedy interested.

Please. Enough CN bashing already. We get far too much of that here.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but if your only opinion is "everything on CN sucks", then you're just flamebaiting, which really isn't needed.

If you don't have anything positive or valid to contribute to the thread, don't post. Seriously.

Megas definately. Easily Cartoon Network's most adult-oriented cartoon. not that it was mature, no, it was filled with references only generation Y would understand. The series needs to be released on DVD.

Foster's is a close second. CN's last good cartoon for almost three years.

Foster's is my favorite from that bunch (actually one of my favorite cartoons overall), but I also really enjoyed class of 3000.

I think Camp Lazlo and My Gym Partners a Monkey are decent, but I don't care for the rest of those shows.

Oh, my b. I guess I got the years mixed up because Megas began airing before the Powerhouse Era ended, and that's the year I think of when I think 2004.

A little late to the thread, but I chose Megas XLR. It's just so underrated.

And Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi wasn't produced by CN Studios. It was done by Renegade Animation (Who works closely with CN at times).

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends without a doubt. I get a good laugh out of almost every episode. "It's hooooot.... innnn.... Topeeeekaaaaaa" and then there was another episode where Bloo and Mac try to drive the Foster's bus, and Mac gets his head slammed into the steering wheel. I thought that was hilarious. :D (And Madame Foster is awesome!)

I chose Megas, mainly because I liked the plotlines and the various parodies scattered throughout the series, which I enjoyed. Coop's attitude and personality also appealed to me quite a bit.

Foster's came in a close second. It was a little boring for me in its earlier era, but it began to pick up and the injokes were great later on. IMO, Destination Imagination, at least the parts that I got to see, was pure genius.

Co3000 gets an honorable message from Phily Phil's remark about the hobbit in the first few episodes.

Ya Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi is considered a CN Original

but yeah, I chose Megas XLR, because of it's sheer awesomeness and how it has aged well for me while others haven't

I chose Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi. I liked the interactions between the characters and most of the episodes. It's really one of my favorite shows that played on Cartoon Network since 2000 so it really stood out to me. I would consider Megas XLR and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

I voted for all of them... with one exception.

Each show was special in it's own way to me by having fun and being funny, exciting, cool characters, and just plain imaginative.

The exception is Squirrel Boy. It somehow left a unpleasant taste in my mouth. I guess Rodney's antics and attitude didn't do it for me.

Megas XLR(2004): Never watched that show much but it was pretty good.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends(2004): That show is awsome
Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi(2004): Meh.
Camp Lazlo(2005): This show is pretty good, better than most things on there now. Plus it was made by the guy who made Rocko's Modern Life (bonus points! :p)
The Life and Times of Juniper Lee(2005): Ehh............................no.
My Gym Partner's A Monkey(2005): This show was awful. Glad it's over.
Ben 10(2005): I'm already starting to get sick of this show.
Squirrel Boy(2006): Same as My Gym Partner's a Monkey.
Class of 3000(2006): This show was decent, too bad it was so short lived.
