Did anybody else play this back in the day? I’m not talking about the recent versions; I’m talking about the original version that was handled without EA’s influence. I loved that game. I’ve yet to see an MMORPG with a PVP system like that; you could get killed as soon as you made your character, and when somebody killed you, they got all of your stuff. You could play as a thief and actually steal inventory from other players, even taking their house keys and then robbing them blind. I used to do that too, though I preferred stealing their boats, as I got to steal their stuff and I got free transportation. Those were fun times. Suffice to say, I stopped playing when Trammel was introduced and you could no longer prey on the weak.

Anybody else play the game back then?

The reason that they got rid of that is because as the game gets bigger, it starts getting harder and harder to get started.

I played that for a couple years. Was fun game to play but the developers were notorious for never finishing anything they started. The game became full of half finished story lines, event and activities.
