How do i change the URL in a link to a word? By that i mean linking to another site in a post and changing it from the webpage to a word that will link to the same thing?

[*url=*website] text [/url]
That, but formatted properly of course.

Ok, this doesn't seem to be working for me. I don't know to do this either, and following your template isn't successful.

You can use the hyperlink button, type in the URL, and then highlight the URL, and type something in its place. Always works for me.

Top Cat's method isn't the way I usually do it, but it works for me. (http://forums.toonzone.net)

Here's an example with an actual url. All you'd have to do to make this one work is remove the spaces before "url" and "/url." Be sure you're pasting the entire url -- http and all.

I used the standard editor rather than the WYSIWYG editor. I type the word/post the picture and then highlight the word/picture and click on the http://forums.toonzone.net/images/editor/createlink.gif. Paste the link, click okay and you're done.
