"Along Came Daffy" (1947):
A very funny Daffy Duck cartoon. One of Freleng's best. The best gag is when Daffy winds up machanical decoys to hop and hoot all around the house. The ending "Here we go again" gag is classic.
Rating: ****
"Buckaroo Bugs" (1944):
"Red Hot Rider Rides Again!" Or does he? In this Clampett classic, Bugs (the masked marauder) heckles a dopey cowboy named Red. Very funny cartoon!
Rating: *****
"My Little Duckaroo" (1954):
Well, I really don't like this cartoon. Probably because I'm such a fan of the early screwy Daffy instead. In this cartoon Daffy's name doesn't fit him at all.
Rating: *
"A Feud There Was" (1938):
A very funny Tex Avery cartoon. It's a pure classic, the hillbilly fighting gags are outrageous and Egghead (named "Elmer Fudd" in this film) the Peacemaker who tries to put an end to the "senesless massacre." The ending has quite a twist too it, Egghead beats up all the hillbillys, instead of the opposite. The best part is Irv Spence's "rubber horse" animation technique.
Rating: *****
"Red Riding Hoodwinked" (1955):
It's good, but not great. Actually I really like some of the gags, but, really don't understand why Granny would punch both Sylvester and the wolf in the kisser at the end. After all did she say, "Oh, that wolf, one of these days, one of these days, POW! Right in the kisser!" Notice that she said noting about Sylvester.
Rating: ****
"Believe it.....or Else" (1939):
Okay, but it's not Avery's best work. Some gags are unfunny and others are. It's merely a spoof of "Ripply's Believe it or Not."
