Highlights include Mary denying she is a 'slapper' and her pregnant cousin 'Liz' downing Bacardi Breezers.
Then there are the Three Wise Men - from the East End - who are criticised for turning up with 'Frankenstein an' myrrh' when they should have brought 'gold, Adidas, and Burberry'.
The garbled interpretation of the Nativity story has one character describing the angel Gabriel as 'a proper nutter' and speculating on 'all the extra benefits' the pregnant Mary and Elizabeth can claim.

Is it too late to change my nationality to Nomad? :D
I'd rather legally belong to nowhere and go "oh those crazy Brits" than be associated with this "chavvy Christmas". *shudder*

You know, I came in here to laugh at how ridiculously PC people can be sometimes, but.....
yeah. Ban it.

I'm not sure what the fuss is about. Apparently the teachers were using it as teaching material. Perhaps more pertinently, it was free teaching material.

That's awful. The school has a lot to answer for, this was a play for kids.

Sounds like "What's wrong with the Youth of Britain?" the play.

Were they just trying to be hip or something?

Were they just trying to be hip or something?
Probably.
And yeah, this "Chavvy Christmas" play just sounds wrong.
From reading the article, I think they're trying to poke fun at chav culture.

...
That's a stupid play, making fun of God and Jesus...
I'm not usually for banning something just because it offends someone, but that is some of the worst commercialized tripe I've ever seen.

Which was probably the point of the author-less play.

Same here, but you can pick up on what it means if you listen to it enough.

Creativity is about turning original things around and giving them a few twists
It's 21st century. I don't get why people are even surprised or offended by anything anymore

Except that it was just a sample text handed out to drama students as an example of uses of language, and therefore not really making much (if any) money.
