It would be neat if they would create a prequel to Samurai Jack. It could talk about how his father would fight Aku and we could see how Aku was born. Maybe it could even be the movie coming out, but probably not.

That sounds like an idea there, but it depends if Cartoon Network and/or the creator of that series think it is a good idea.

I think they could do that in one of the episodes of the series. Just have a flashback as Jack or Aku recalls the past. Maybe they'll do something like that eventually.

I was thinking about an SJ prequel, myself. There's some good episode material in Jack's father's encounter with Aku, and maybe some series potential in Jack's formative years, when he was training to become a samurai (meeting Robin Hood, living with the Shaolin monks, the Vikings, etc.).
The Young Samurai Jack Chronicles, anyone?
Also, I'm wondering since Jack's father, The Emperor, also fought Aku, do any of you think he got sent into the future as well, but eventually found his way back to the past, as his son is trying to do right now? And I'm also wondering if, back in the past, Aku is rubbing his son's disappearance in his father's face?
Something for us SJ fans to think about...

I heard one of the movies was going to be a prequel. Anyone know if there's any truth in this?

I think Aku's origin could easily be done in one episode, as could his first battle with Jack's father.
And here's something that they could reveal: Does Jack have a real name?
