View Full Version : The Remove Robert Swartz Petition (Save CN!)

I wanted to get used to the forum before blasting any agenda of mine, so here goes: I have a petition for the overthrowing of Robert Swartz, the current VP of original programming for Cartoon Network. I feel that his efforts may have increased ratings, but without any lasting credibility.

And although I am still buzzed over Toonami, no I'm not asking for the good ol' days. All I'm asking for is a change that actually maintains what made CN reputable and popular: breakthrough ideas (Such as no-recycled Clone Wars), throwback fashion, and ORGANIZATION.

You can read the whole article to the petition here:

Please take the time (If you like) to respond to my reason for ditching Swartz, and if you don't mind I'd like to know who you think would be a good replacement for VP of Cartoon Network. Once again, thank you.

You think Chowder, Flapjack, TDI, and all the good shows it has now aren't breakthrough? Compared to last year, CN is doing much better! Besides, why aren't you attacking Rob Sorcher, the guy actually in charge of programming, as opposed to one of his colleagues?

Besides, petitions like this don't work. CN isn't going to overthrow one of it's execs just like that.
Cartoon Network does NOT need saving.
Topic over.

Besides, petitions like this don't work, especially when only one person supports it.

No I don't think TDI is breakthrough. That's just my opinion. Rob Sorcher would be an option, but last time I checked the VP is first to bring the suggestions to the table.

Yes most petitions don't work and if mentioning it here doesn't help I'll go elsewhere or let it go. But I'm not the only person who supports it. I have other associates and friends who are behind it as well.

IMO Petitions don't really work, and CN is doing fine programming-wise.

Petitions don't work, period. The only reason why the one for Jericho worked is because a lot of fans sent letters besides.

I remain sore about Toonami, of anime getting shunted aside (including Naruto), and the 100% pure suckage that is CN's treatment of Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends, but the new original programming has gotten better.

I just wish CN wasn't so willing to cast off what was good about themselves in the past.

Shure, I'll sign, I don't think anything will come of it, but I'll sign.

And yes, some of us are sore over toonami. I can hold grudges for a long time, but I'm trying things that might work.

Yeah, online petitions don't work and trying to remove to a executive with one isn't going to work either. Thread closed.
