I think that the actor they used for Superman in that would make a pretty good JL Superman

No, I havn't. Is there anyway you could get a short audio clip of Superman's voice? I would love to hear that.

I actually heard the audio book before I read the comic, so I had the books voices in my head when I read it. I can't comment on Superman's voice actor being good for the role because I have no idea what he looks like.

But I will say this again, Ed Asner (who was also in the KC audio book and gave by far the best performance) would be a perfect Perry White.

Whoops. Sorry Hornet, I guess I didn't read your post closely enough.

Anyway, I think if they consider any change in Superman's voice it should only be to one Tim Daly. To me he nailed Supes voice, and his voice is the one I hear when I read Superman comics.

And if Daly comes, maybe he can bring the costume from STAS with him for his animated counterpart. I don't like the shield on the JL Supes costume. It's just bad.

i TOTALLY agree w/ the shield

it looks like the Superfriends design

and yeah i agree Tim IS the best for the job

although The Call superman wasnt BAD

"The Call"'s Superman was voiced by Christopher McDonald, who also provided the voice for Jor-El in "Last Son of Krypton."

As far as the shield goes (and anything else about Superman's appearance for that matter), I don't think that the design itself is flawed. All of Bruce Timm's drawings of the JL Superman look pretty good and the model sheet for Superman at Cartoonnetwork.com also seems fine. For whatever reason, though, the animation studio that's been doing all of the JL episodes is really struggling w/his appearance.

I believe that's one reason why people think that Superman has aged so much. The features that were added to his face can easily suggest age instead of ruggedness if rendered a certain way.

As far as the voice goes, I'm fine w/the current actor. The only change that would seem right to me would be a change back to Tim Daly. Personally, I think that the "Kingdom Come" voice actor sounds too old (Supes was supposed to be around what? 50? 60? in KC?) for a modern day Superman.

I've heard this tape. They actually do a decent job. It's fun. The voices are good, and there's all sorts of cool sound effects.

It's a fun listen, but I thought that the Flash voice was a little goofy.
