Since Digimon01 statred doing reruns on ABC Family, I was wondering about this. Which goggle-head boy do you like the best? Takato has just become my favorite, because he's so different from Tai and Davis. He's not the pushy kind of person the other 2 are, and he seems like he actually cares about the other characters. so who's your favorite? Vote now.

I'm more of a Yolei man, myself. I'm waiting for a girl goggle-head, to he honest (shades of Rocky the Flying Squirrel, who was female in the sense that a woman voiced him-- ;) ).

For some reason, my favorite goggle-head guy is Tai. I guess it's because he always seems so optimistic all the time. :wakko:

I shall be a rebel and vote for Daisuke/Davis.
...What? Silly infatuation for Hikari aside, he ain't that bad. And he does have a kickass partner (arguably I'm more of a Guilemon fan, but that's besides the point).

I know that its really not the subject, but my fav Digimon character is Ken Ichijouji. He was the reason I started watching digimon. he just seemed like a really interesting person, not the typical kid you find in that show. so doubtful of his own worth, blaming himself for everything. I guess I can compare with him, b/c I have felt like that alot of my life. (sorta why I like Shinji from Evangelion) That and he made the least corny jokes in that show (why do they have to say things like "im gonna go to the little digimon's room!" or stuff like that? )

As far as goggle boys are concerned, he's the most fun. He's smart, but in a goofy, zany way. Only a boy like him could get away with that jacket--and look good.
To answer MDawg: Ask the dub writers of Digimon: Digital Monsters, the people who gave us such pathos-filled verses as:
"Why do you get the pizza, while I get the crust?" (that was a paraphrase. it looks much better than it is. :D)
Thank you.

I like to beat up takato from digimon while wearing brass knuckles until he vomits blood from his mouth and nose.

Someone doesn't like Takato? :p
As for favorite goggle head, it's Davis/Daisuke Motomiya! He is the first anime character I can relate to.....annoying sister, crush on a girl who obviously doesn't like him back, alot of messy hair. That kid could be my long lost brother!(j/k) LOL As for the others, Takato just seems like a boring goggle boy in comparison to the past goggle heads, and Tai just seemed too perfect. I liked Tai better in 02, maybe it was because I liked how they dealt with him and Sora during and after the infamous Christmas episode.

Geez, did his nude Evolution scene disturb you that much? ;)
Anyway, RE: Goggle Girls.... Probably not something that would sell. But I know Tai and Daisuke have female VAs in Japan... Takato sounds that way, as well... and so will Takuya, I suppose. So you could say that since "Matt" and Tai are voiced by a male and female, respectively, that it's not really yaoi. Ditto for Ken and Daisuke with female VAs for them both- the "maidens" reference to them is more accurate than it looks.
My fave Goggle Boy? They're not exactly alike... Tai's the most impulsive, Takato's the most quiet.... I'd have to say Daisuke. He's so friendly, silly and sweet. :) It's close though, especially since Takato's the only artist among them (which means he'll be an accountant with a cloned child in the epilogue and an illustrator of yaoi doujinshi in my fics)

Bitter much? ;)
Though Rika's got a bit of a short fuse...I'm waiting for her to haul off and slap someone (Takato and Jerri, being a little on the emotional side, seem the best bets) across the mouth, screaming "Get it together!"
What can I say, I love headstrong, edgy brunettes. Maybe Takato will let Rika wear the goggles, just once, briefly? [bats lashes hopefully]

Taichi. You gotta go with the original. Taichi is an effective leader to begin with, but has to overcome his own character flaws to improve and reach goal. Daisuke and Takato are kind of clumsy and don't really emerge as leaders, even though that's how they're seen.

i would like to see the Tamers beat up Osama Bin Laden with brass knuckles, he was responsible for the bombing of Hypnos HQ.
The guy at NBC News sent me a video of the destruction of Hypnos. i saw 4 airplanes. They were a 2 Boeing 777's, 1 McDonald Douglass 4300 Airbus and a British Airways Concorde. They crashed into Hypnos building.
Fox Kids covered it up by orders from the NSA. They claimed the juggernaut did it. It was Osama Bin Laden.

Actually, "Rika" seems nicest around "Jerri"... She's taught her the card game... doesn't seem upset at being called Ruki-chan by her, while it was quite apparent she didn't like it coming from the boys.. And one of the last eps I saw had the girls hugging- so cute! What surprised me was that Takato yelled at "Jerri" before she became a Tamer, and "Rika" is always cool with her.
But I can also see her with Hirokazu and maybe Ryou.

That's why I didn't like Taichi.....he was TOO good of a leader. He was almost fearless, he'd fight against anything if Agumon was willing to digivolve. The only time he didn't was when Sora got kidnapped, and Tai cried and junk, that was a scene that just made you say "awww.....why the hell didn't Sora marry Tai at the end of season 2???"(atleast, that's what I said!:plol) I really liked Daisuke because people really didn't follow his lead, it was always TE......I mean TK. The other children didn't seem to take him seriously as a leader until he started reaching out to Ken. His character also shined at the very end of the season against Belial Vamdemon, that's when I liked him the most!:) As for Ruki-chan, I agree with the person who said they like those "headstrong girls". I mean, Mimi was cute, Sora was nice, Yolei and Kari are.....bleh, but there's something about Ruki/Rika's character that appeals to me. I think she should have had the goggles instead of Takato.
