Tonight's Thursday Night Football game does not promise to be the most exciting game of the year, but one of the teams should be picking up a victory which is more than either can say most weeks. The Raiders at 3-9 have continued to struggle this season and are on their second coach of the year. After losing the AFC Championship game a year ago, the Chargers have only been able to put together a 4-8 record going into tonight. Some of the losses on them, some of them not, but the record still stands and the once mighty Chargers have fallen, hard.

This game was important for one main reason- a Chargers loss along with a Broncos win would have given them the division. In the end the Raiders once again proved to be too inconsistent.

I found the pre-game more interesting whit everyone saying how Al Davis needs to retire as owner cause hes too old and outdated. I`m I the only one who think AL is the sith of the NFL?
Much better games today whit lots of playoffs hopes and spots on the line. Steelers&Cowboys do battle for the 1.000 time. Saints&Falcons, Ravens&Redskins,Panters&Bucs ETC...Then theres the lions trying to get their first win of the season. Last time the lions went 1-15 the only win was against the vicks at home. Will history repeat itself?

There's some really good games available on national radio today as well. The big surprise is that neither Sports USA nor Westwood One picked up the Steelers/ Cowboys game, despite it being the FOX featured game of the week.
Westwood One:
12:30 PM- Atlanta at New Orleans
3:45 PM- Miami vs. Buffalo from Toronto
7:30 PM- Washington at Baltimore
Monday- 8 PM- Tampa Bay at Carolina
Sports USA:
12:30 PM- Philadelphia at NY Giants
3:45 PM- NY Jets at San Francisco

San Diego picked up a much needed win on Thursday to officially keep themselves in contention for the AFC West title despite the large lead the Broncos currently hold.
Most division leaders are matched up against teams they should be able to beat, making this week more about teams staying in or being eliminated from the wild card race. The notable exception is the AFC North-leading Steelers facing the Cowboys who are currently on the outside looking in. If Dallas can get the win, the Redskins-Raven game tonight becomes even more important with Baltimore being able to pull into a tie with Pittsburgh.
The biggest game of the week would have to go to Monday Night Football, with control of the NFC South up for grabs when the 9-3 Buccaneers visit the 9-3 Panthers. At this point both teams are likely to make the playoffs, but the winner of the division is likely to have a bye.

At this point both teams are likely to make the playoffs, but the winner of the division is likely to have a bye.Actually my friend, its not as likely as you think. Atl, NO, Carolina, and Tampa all play each other. Somebody is losing and if the Cowboys go 3-1 or 2-2 and if Tampa loses the next two games (or even just one of those games) against Carolina and ATL (ill even throw SD in there cause u never know with them) they'll be out of the playoffs cause the Cowboys hold the tie breaker over them.

The Giants might have played their worst first half of football, (the worst half this season is second half of the Browns game) and they are only down 3 point at halftime.
If I am an Eagles fan I am pulling my hair out now. We will see what happens, but the Eagles gave the Giants a second life.

Wow, the Lions might have their only decent remaining chance to win a game today, with Gus Freotte now out for the Vikings. all they have to do now is just contain AP (which they probably won't)

This Giants receivers and their tight ends are playing terrible today, is it because it is too cold? Your professionals, next week at Dallas no excuses.
If we lose this game, I am going to blame the Giants offensive coordinator, terrible play calling today. 2 and less than a yard, run down the middle, instead of perriminor running in which you have run to 5 yards to get 1 yard. I have no confidence today in the Giants offense, they need a defensive turnover to score.
I guess they have to overcame the officiating as well, I guess the Eagles are allowed to hold and grad by their jersey when the Giants are trying to get to the quaterback. That is terrible officiating.
Okay the Eagles did a huge misfavor to the Cowboys death warrent, now I am certain the Giants are going to destory the Cowboys next week.
Okay the Eagles did a huge misfavor to the Cowboys death warrent, now I am certain the Giants are going to destory the Cowboys next week.Lol to quote Bill Simmons
"I love Giants fans. You're right, guys -- you're much better off without your 6-foot-5 target who killed teams in the red zone. You won't miss him at all. And having your star middle linebacker potentially heading to jail for conspiracy to cover up a crime won't be a distraction in any way. You'll be fine."
To say the Giants are gonna destory the Cowboys is a little far fetched. I mean think about it, if the Cowboys lose today, there gonna be desparate for a win next week, and there at home and their a week healthier. Giants on the other hand already have the division wrapped up, there going to the playoffs regardless. You really think the Giants are gonna roll up in Big D and just roflstomp a Cowboys team that has to win out to get to the playoffs? Idk about that my friend.

Early Finals:
Eagles 20
Giants 14
(A Giants win would've given them the NFC East title. They now need Pittsburgh to beat Dallas to get it done.)
Vikings 20
Lions 16
(Detroit's "perfect" season remains, as they go to 0-13)
Bengals 3
Colts 35
Falcons 25
Saints 29
Texans 24
Packers 21
(Kris Brown's 40-yarder as time expired lifts the Texans to an upset.)
Browns 9
Titans 28
(The Giants loss makes Tennessee the first team to clinch a division title, as they wrap up the AFC South.)
Jaguars 10
Bears 23
(Chicago remains 1 game behind Minnesota in the NFC North)

Wow, the Lions lost probably their last chance to win a game. The Colts will blow them out next week, and New Orleans and Green Bay will be fighting for their playoff lives. So a team will go 0-16 for the first time in...ever. :(

Nope. It never fails, the Lions fall apart at the end...
But I can't say anything differnet for the Packers. Tied 21-21 with under 2min, we downed the Texans at the 3yd line on a punt.... yet our defence screws up yet again and gives up another game winning drive. 2 weeks in a row... and now it's over. The Packers had to run the table and they didn't... so the playoffs are out of the question at this point. The only thing that could possibly make me happy would to just beat the Bears again for the season sweep.
So, go JETS. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!

After the way the Vikings played last week, today's game against the Lions should not have been as close as it was. The Vikes have three tough games ahead of them against the Falcons, Cardinals and Giants. With the way they played today, I'm a little worried about their playoff hopes.

The 49ers have started a resurgence of sorts now. This week they beat the NY Jets, and with the Pats and Dolphins wins the Jets, Dolphins, and Pats are now in a three-way tie for the division lead.
Dallas' D once again gave up less than 14 points (they only gave up 13), but Romo's third interception of the day cost the Cowboys in Pittsburgh 20-13. The win gives the Giants the conference title, but with Atlanta also losing, and with a Washington loss tonight, it still puts Dallas in control of their own destiny. With Barber back next week and with the game being in Dallas, there's no guarantee the Giants won't lose their second consecutive division game.
With their win today, the Titans became the first team to clinch their division, and a big fact is one more win would give the Titans the conference title. Pittsburgh's win kept the Titans from clinching the Conference this week.

Well I feel a little better now. The Cowboys lose, Giants win the NFC east, and they are in disarray, and the Jets lost also, so that soften the blow.
Tomorow I don't have to hear too much about the Giants losing, it is all going about the Jets losing on the local sports shows. And the Giants win the division.

Three divisions were clinched yesterday, in this order:
AFC South- Tennessee Titans
NFC West- Arizona Cardinals
NFC East- New York Giants
Only 9 playoff spots remain. A Denver win or San Diego loss next week will clinch the AFC West for them. The AFC East is currently in a three-way tie. Baltimore and Pittsburgh meet again in a nationally featured game next week at 4:15. A Pittsburgh win gives them the division. A Tennessee win next Sunday at Houston, which has won three in a row and five of the last six, clinches the entire conference title for them. The NFC North and NFC South can't be finalized until the last weeks games have gone final due to teams being only 1 game behind and some owning various tiebreakers.
Eliminated from the playoffs yesterday were Cleveland, Jacksonville, and essentially Green Bay. Green Bay finds themselves three games behind Dallas and Carolina with 3 left to play, but they find themselves on the losing end of the head-to-head tiebreaker for both teams. A Tampa Bay win tonight will eliminate the Packers- no questions asked.

"WHEW", Vikes Survive the Lions, AGAIN.
But I was expecting a hard-fought battle between two divisional foes.
Haven't heard who is going to start at QB for the Vikes next Sunday.
Jackson came in and did a nice job, heck he played better then Gus.
WOW!!! The Panther ran all over the Bucs, Nearly 300 yards.
I like the Broncos Orange uniforms, they should wear those all the time.
