Yeah not too surprised with The New Frontier,
seeing how its the best DC moving picture ever!
Gotham Knight is excellent as well.
But as far as I'm concerned The New Frontier
is groundbreaking & better then most of the live action films!

I agree. Wasn't entirely on board with Gotham Knight, but I'm totally with you on New Frontier. That's the superhero movie I've wanted to see for a long time. Forget The Dark Knight(as in seriously, it was lame, forget it) or Green Lantern, New Frontier is the superhero picture I've been wanting to see for years.

In my opinion
Yeah... Green Lantern: The New Frontier was a pretty good movie if you look past the...
bland animation (in terms of design, not execution)
Muddled plot
lackluster ending.
Still glad it got a nod though.

While I liked the idea of seeing a Silver Age Justice League adventure made with modern quality of execution, what JL:New Frontier delivered was a derivative pile of HP Lovecraft and the final episodes of Eureka 7 without any of the heart tacked on to a rushed Green Lantern origin story with the formation of the JLA a mere happenstance.
Not a bad popcorn flick, but hardly award worthy, except in the absence of anything better this year.

Both are great films and I'm glad that they got nominated. I prefer Gotham Knight over New Frontier not because of how it focuses more on Batman, but because I had a better understanding of the plot in that movie than in New Frontier. I liked the Silver Age designs and how it was more focused on GL, but I didn't feel as engaged with it as I did with GK. Still, both are good films to watch.

You have a point; I can't dispute what you've said. And I happen to like JL: The New Frontier more than Superman: Doomsday!

I can understand The New Frontier, but Gotham Knight? Are they serious? Except for Deadshot, it was terrible and did nothing to bridge the gap between BB and TDK.
