Why isn't Family Guy new tonight?

The Griffins are Fox's cash cow, they withhold that crap like a trophy wife withholding sex.

So Fox can continue releasing just a few episodes to DVD at a time, thus squeezing more money from the franchise.

Yeah but withholding episodes during sweeps month?

Tobias

Fox only seems to want to roll out 13 new episodes a year for FG, so they're probably holding off the rest of the run for February sweeps and April/May.

Ooh, Veronica Mars just got burned.

This one is awesome so far. The "I'm on the phone with my mom' joke had me in stitches.

The whole telethon idea too is very funny.

There have been so many good moments on this show, I'm not sure I can quote them all.

I knew Stan would reject Roger's idea and later make it like his...

Was that the asian chick from the Ladybugs group in the audience?

Also, I laughed at the jabs at Veronica Mars and Ghost Whisperer.

Lol at the fart setting.

Okay the "fart setting" joke was unnecessary but other than that, this episode is gold! :D

"Prepare to meet your Mecca." Look at Toshi busting out the jokes.

Stan: I don't negotiate with terrorists.

Snake: Oh really? Have you ever bought a mattress?

Stan: OK, you got me.

Did anyone else actually try and dial the toll-free number? LOL

It's a 555 number... :p

Those are never real.

Still, very funny. Easily the best of the night.

Beautiful. Especially the endless amount of characters who cameo with their own assortment of talent.

Fan-freaking-tastic. On paper it sounds like a somewhat typical AD plot, but the execution was fresh and fun and hilarious. It was a half hour jam-packed with punchy gags, well-constructed plot twists, and quick, sharp, multi-faceted political satire.

With all the character cameos and the "different" feel of the show, this would've made a great season finale. I just hope there's something even better in store when that time comes.

I like how they made fun of the "Stan learns a lesson" trope near the end ("Lying is Wrong!") and made funnier by having him say he's NOT going to confess, leading Roger to beat him up.

Pretty good episode. I liked it.

I agree, that was just hilarious.

Bullock throwing the guy out the window at the start of the episode was just so randomly hilarious.

Ooh, Veronica Mars just got burned.
It's obvious they didn't even watch that show! Veronica ruled! Shut your face, Roger!

But other than that, this episode saved my Sunday night from total mediocrity. A fresh, offbeat premise, cameos by every single AD character to date, Roger as a ridiculous inept Phantom, the "moral" endorsing torture....I loved it all.

Another great episode for American Dad's 4th season! So many great gags in this one that I don't know where to start. It was a great half-hour packed with jokes, character cameos, Roger doing something ridiculous like becoming the phantom, it was all great. Well done AD.

Ooh, Veronica Mars just got burned.

I'm glad someone else noticed how nasty she acts. I tried watching that show a few times and she acts like one of those girls at bars who treat guys like crap when they try to talk to her.

So, who was that knight guy in the audience?

So, who was that knight guy in the audience?
That guy? He was the knight that guarded a secret passgae for Stan in the Season 2 episode "Of Ice and Men".

Like alot of people said, there were alot of cameoes in the episode.

The return of Buckles and his wife (can't remember her name) was just one of those not so clever but still made me laugh moments.

"Why don't you put a baby in me?"
"I joined a synagogue for you!"

Holy crap, this WAS the season finale we were supposed to get last season before Fox started holding episodes back.

Finally got around to watching it on Fox.com. Good episode; one thing I really liked is how Roger was unknowingly the catalyst for Stan getting the money he needed in the end. If he had just let Stan take credit for his idea, the terrorist wouldn't have been let loose and thus Stan couldn't scare the audience into giving him the money to torture the terrorist into giving the code. In the words of Plankton, "You see? Everything works out."

Favorite moments:
-"The bomb is disarmed! That's what I'll say in a few seconds when I disarm the bomb!", followed by "The arm is disbombed!"
-"I once tried to save The Ghost Whisperer." "Ghost Whisperer is still on." "Really?!"
-The guy on the phone at the office saying lewd things to his mom
-Steve leaving Roger during his Phantom of the Opera shtick. "Come back! I'm trying to do something!"
-Fart piano: "This one's funnier but isn't as dramatic."
-Roger listing all the bad things he DID do, except plant a bomb
-"Do you know what the second greatest nation is?" "El Salvador!" "No, not Mexico."
-"You don't touch yourself? So how are you supposed to masturbate?!" (LOL at it silenced during the airing)

If there's one joke I thought fell flat, it was Roger talking about Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. It didn't really go anywhere.
